Çağdaş seramik malzemesi olarak porselen ve kişisel yorumlar

Abstract

20. yüzyılın ikinci yarısı, modern sanatın çağdaş sanata evrilme süreci ile önemli bir gelişme kaydetmiştir. Çağdaş sanat hareketlerini oluşturan tüm koşullar dönemin sosyo-kültürel değişimi, bilimin analitik düşünce paralelinde başka alanları içine alarak evrilmesi sanatın ve sanat eğitiminin diğer disiplinler ile ilişkisini yeniden şekillendirmiştir. Günümüz çağdaş seramik sanatının temellerini oluşturan süreç malzeme olarak kilin plastik ifade diliyle açıklanabilir. Aslında neolitik dönemden beri sanatsal anlamda bir plastik malzeme olan kil, 20 yüzyılın ikinci yarısında çağdaş sanat hareketleri bağlamında varlık göstermiş, tümüyle kullanım işlevinden soyutlanarak sanatçı malzemesine dönüşmüştür. Konumu içeren ve seramik grubunda yer alan porselenin gerek dünyada gerek ülkemizde sanatçılar tarafından kullanılmasını çağdaş sanat kavramının şekillendiği ve günümüze uzanan süreçte ele alıp incelemek dahadoğru olacaktır. Resim sanatında kurmacılık veya kavram ressamlığı olarak başlayan Kübizm, modern sanatın çağdaş sanat hareketlerine evrilmesi ile sanat ve sanatçı kavramının yeniden tanımlanmasında önemli rol oynamıştır. Resim yüzeyinden başlayarak yüzey-hacim ilişkilerine, tekstür-strüktür gibi rölyef konstrüksiyonlara,oradan heykele ve soyut sanata kadar etkisini göstermiştir. Malzemeye dayalı tüm sanatlarda olduğu gibi seramik grubunda yer alan porselen de malzeme olarak özelliklerinden dolayı sanatçıların ilgisini çekmiştir. Bu eğilim sanatçıya porselen çamuru ile yeni deneyimleme ve farklı teknikler kullanarak şekillendirme olanakları sağlamıştır. 1960’lı yıllardan itibaren seramik sanatçılarının porselene kattıkları kavramsal yorumlar, seramik sanat anlayışını geleneksel ya da işlevsel çömlek anlayışından farklı bir boyuta taşımıştır.Çağdaş seramik sanatı tarihsel süreç içerisinde geleneksel anlatım araçlarını ve standart yorumlarını terk ederek günümüz sanat anlayışında kendine özgün bir anlatım diline ulaşmıştır.Günümüz çağdaşseramik sanatını biçim ve içerik bağlamında incelediğimizde malzemenin sanat yapıtı ile olan ilişkisine daha kolay ulaşabiliriz. Bu nedenle zanaattan sanata evrilen seramik ve porselenin hikayesi toplumların kimlik ve kültürlerini de içinde barındıran önemli bir kaynak olarak karşımıza çıkar. Gelenekselden evrensele dönüşen seramik sanatının üretim yöntemleri teknolojinin ve endüstrinin tüm bu koşut gelişmelerine paralel bir süreçte akademik sanat eğitimini de içine alarak evrilmiş, sanatçının özgün yaratım sürecine dahil olmuştur. Cumhuriyet dönemi sonrası kamusal alanlarda dönemin seramik sanatçıları ve akademisyenleri tarafından porselen içerikli çamurlar kullanarak mimari alan ve yüzeylerde gerçekleştirdikleri çağdaş seramik panolar ve heykeller önemli kültür hafızaları olarak günümüze taşınmıştır.Çağdaş seramik sanatçıları tarafından gerçekleştirilen sanat ve tasarım eserleri, eser –metin çalışmam ve mimaride uyguladığım çalışmam için çok önemli referans ve kaynak oluşturmuştur.

The second half of the 20th century saw a significant development in the evolution of modern art into contemporary art. All the conditions that constitute contemporary art movements, the socio-cultural change of the period, the evolution of science by including other fields in parallel with analytical thinking have reshaped the relationship of art and art education with other disciplines. The process that forms the foundations of today's contemporary ceramic art can be explained by the plastic expression language of clay as a material. In fact, clay, which has been a plastic material in the artistic sense since the Neolithic period, has existed in the context of contemporary art movements in the second half of the 20th century, and has turned into an artist's material by being completely abstracted from its usage function. It would be more accurate to examine the use of porcelain, which contains the location and is included in the ceramic group, by artists both in the world and in our country, in the process in which the concept of contemporary art was shaped and extends to the present day. Cubism, which started as constructivism or concept painting in the art of painting, has played an important role in redefining the concept of art and artist with the evolution of modern art into contemporary art movements. Starting from the painting surface, it has shown its influence on surface-volume relations, relief constructions such as texture-structure, from there to sculpture and abstract art. As in all material-based arts, porcelain, which is included in the ceramic group, has attracted the attention of artists due to its properties as a material.This tendency has provided the artist with new opportunities to experiment with porcelain clay and to shape it using different techniques.Since the 1960s, with the conceptual interpretations that ceramic artists have added to porcelain, the understanding of ceramic art has turned to a different dimension from the traditional or functional pottery understanding. Art has abandoned traditional means of expression and standard interpretations in the historical process and has reached a unique language of expression in today's understanding of art.When we examine today's contemporary ceramic art in the context of form and content, we can more easily reach the relationship between the material and the work of art. In this context, the story of ceramics and porcelain, which evolved from craft to art, appears as an important source that also contains the identity and culture of societies.The production methods of ceramic art, which has transformed from traditional to universal, have evolved in parallel with all these parallel developments of technology and industry, including academic art education, and have been included in the artist's origina Contemporary ceramic panels and sculptures made on architectural areas andsurfaces by ceramic artists and academicians of the period using porcelain-containing clays in public spaces after the Republic period have been brought to the present day as important cultural memories. Art and design works made by contemporary ceramic artists are my work-text study and my work applied in architecture. It has created a very important reference and resource for.l creation process.
