Publication: Halil hayatı eserleri ve Ravzatü’l-İman isimli eserinin metin tetkiki
Abstract
16. yüzyılda yaşadığını tahmin ettiğimiz Halîl’in Ravzatü’l-Îmân isimli eseri manzum bir ilmihaldir. Bir müslümanın inanması, inancının gereği olarak bilmesi ve yapması îcâb eden bütün esas bilgiler bu “Îman Bahçesi” isimli eserde bir araya getirilmiştir. Eserde insanın, gayesiz, başıboş bir hayat sürmek için yaratılmadığı üzerinde durulmuş, dünyanın fâniliğinden bahsedilerek birbirinden kıymetli nasihatlere yer verilmiştir. Müellif eserinde inanç esaslarını ve İslâm’ın şartlarını açıkladıktan sonra her müslümanın bilmesi gereken ilmihal konularını ele almıştır. Bütün bu meseleler kuru bir üslûb ile değil şiirsel bir dille anlatılmış, mevzûlar sâdece fıkhî yönleriyle değil, müellifin bir tarikat müntesibi olması münâsebetiyle tasavvufî açıdan da değerlendirilmiştir. Eserin en ehemmiyetli özelliklerinden biri de, vermiş olduğu dînî bilgilerin yanı sıra o devrin hayat anlayışı, ahlâkî değerleri ve sosyal dinamikleri hakkında da son derece kıymetli bilgiler veriyor olmasıdır. Bütün bunlara ilâveten Ravzatü’l-Îmân, sıradan bir eser değil, Osmanlı devletinin en ihtişamlı yıllarının geçtiği sarayın kütüphanesinden bir kitaptır.
“Rawdatu’l-Iman” which author is Halil, supposed to have lived in the 16th century, is a handbook about the basics of Islam, written in poetic style. The author has gathered all the basic knowledge which the muslim needs for believing and acting properly accordin to his religion in this book which title means: the Garden of Believe. The book contains a lot of precious advises which explain that man hasn’t been created for goalless and empty life and that this life is contemporary. After explaining the pillars of each ot the faith and Islam, the author talks about the basic themes of Islam which must be known by every muslim. All these topics instead of being represented in ordinary style have been explained poetically, as also the themes haven’t been viewed only scientifically but studied by the sufi (mystic) point of view. One other of the most important features of the work is that together with the religious knowledge it gives very good idea about the world view, the moral values and the social life in that century. Beside all this “Rawdatu’l-Iman” is not an ordinary work but one of the books of the Palace library of the Otoman state during its most florishing period.
