Publication: Bilgisayar destekli GPS (küresel konumlandırma sistemi) eğitim setinin tasarımı
Abstract
BİLGİSAYAR DESTEKLİ GPS (KÜRESEL KONUMLANDIRMA SİSTEMİ) EĞİTİM SETİNİN TASARIMI Günümüzde haberleşme teknolojilerinde meydana gelen gelişmeler seyrü sefer (navigasyon) sistemlerini de etkilemiştir. Gerek coğrafi çalışmalarda ve keşiflerde gerekse askeri amaçlı sistem çözümlerinde büyük rol oynayan, yön ve konum bulma problemi; Radyo Yön Bulucu (RDF) ve hiperbolik yer bulum (ör. LORAN,DECCA,OMEGA) gibi navigasyon sistemlerinin geliştirilmesi ile çözümlenmiştir. Şu anda ise uydu şebekeleri sayesinde çok hassas ölçümlerin yapılabilmesi sağlanmaktadır. Konumlandırma sistemleri içinde en gelişmiş olanı GPS (Global Positioning System) Küresel Konumlandırma Sistemidir. Bu sistemin işlevselliğinin ve yararlarının arttırılması için yapılan bir çalışmada sadece A.B.D' de 150.000 GPS teknisyenine ihtiyaç olduğu ortaya çıkmış ve bunun için yeni eğitim programları hazırlanmıştır. Bu durumun ülkemizde oluşturacağı eksikliğin hissettirilmemesi için çalışmaların yapılması gerektiği, açıktır. Bu tez çalışmasında GPS ile ilgili güncel bilgileri öğrencilere öğretmek ve GPS eğitimini daha iyi verebilmek için gerçek GPS alıcısının mikro denetleyici donanımıyla kontrolü sağlanmış, bu donanım nesne tabanlı bilgisayar yazılımıyla birlikte eğitim animasyonları ile desteklenerek yeni bir eğitim seti geliştirilmiştir. Tez hazırlanırken GPS ile ilgili en son gelişmeler incelenmiştir. Donanım tasarlanırken işlevsel olması için gerekli düzenlemeler yapılmış, bilgisayar yazılımının geliştirilmesinde Visual Studio .NET platformu kullanılmış ve tezin eğitsel animasyonları Macromedia Flash ve Java Programlama dilinde hazırlanmıştır. THE DESIGN OF COMPUTER SUPPORTED GPS (GLOBAL POSITIONING SYSTEM) EDUCATION SET The recent developments in communication technologies affect navigation systems as well. The problem of finding position and direction, which has significant role both in geographical discoveries, and in military system problem solutions, was solved by means of navigation systems like RDF (Radio Direction Finder), hyperbolic positioning system (etc. LORAN, DECCA, OMEGA). Nowadays it is possible to make very sensitive measurements with the help of satellite network. GPS (Global Positioning System) is the most developed system among positioning systems. One study about improving the functionality and advantages of the system shows that, even in U.S. alone 150.000 GPS technicians were needed in, so new education programs had been prepared. It is obvious that many studies must be done to prepare our country for that kind of deficiency. In this thesis a new education set was developed to teach new information related to GPS and to give GPS education more effectively, controlling of real GPS receiver supplied by micro controller hardware which is supported with object oriented computer program and education animation. While thesis was getting ready, the recent GPS information had been examined. While designing hardware, necessary studies had been done to make it functional, in the development of the computer program, Visual Basic .NET platform had been used and education materials were prepared in Macromedia Flash and Java programming Language.
