Publication: Mobiles lernen im Deutsch als fremdsprache unterricht : analyse von apps und anwendungspotenziale
Abstract
Dijitalleşme çağı ve nesillerin değişimiyle beraber app olarak adlandırılan mobil öğrenme uygulamaları eğitim alanında ön plana çıkmaktadır. Z-kuşağı olarak adlandırılan yeni neslin mensupları olan öğrencilerin günlük yaşantılarında akıllı telefon gibi teknolojik cihazlar önemli bir yere sahiptir. Bu nedenle eğitim ve öğretim ortamları, teknolojik değişimleri göz önünde tutarak, bu olanaklardan yararlanarak hazırlanmalıdır. Ancak hangi uygulamanın hangi beceriye veya dilbilgisi alanına uygun olduğu, uygulamalar sayıca fazla olduğundan, özellikle Almanca yabancı dil alanında genel bir bakış olmadığından bu konuda belirsizlik hakimdir. Var olan imkanlardan faydalanabilmek adına, mevcut çalışmada bu problemin çözümüne yönelik appler belli bir kriter kataloğu kullanarak betimlenmiştir. Bu çalışmada üniversitelerin Almanca yabancı dil eğitiminde kullanılabilecek uygulamalara dair genel bir bakış sunulmakta ve bu uygulamaların ders içi kullanıma örnek teşkil eden bir ders planı yer almaktadır. Bu bağlamda mevcut çalışmanın araştırma sorusu “Hangi uygulamalar Almanca yabancı dil öğreniminin hangi dil beceri ve kazanımları için kullanılabilir?” sorusudur ve bu soru betimsel araştırma yöntemiyle cevaplandırılmıştır. Çalışmanın örneklemini oluşturan 100 uygulama 23 kriterden oluşan bir kriter kataloğuna göre analiz edilip, dil seviyesine, beceri ve kazanım alanına göre sınıflandırılmıştır. Çalışmada elde edilen bulguların tablolarda sunulması ve bunlarla bir ders planı geliştirilmesi ile araştırma sorusu cevaplanarak, araştırma sonuçları ortaya konulmuştur. Analiz sonuçlarına dayanarak mobil öğrenme alanında ampirik çalışmalar yapılması önerilerek, çalışma tamamlanmıştır.
With the generational change in the age of digitalization, M-learning and the use of apps has considerably increased in importance for Generation Z and their teachers. The use of technical devices such as smartphones play a major role in the lives of the newer generation, hence education must change accordingly in order to enrich the future economy. Nevertheless, it has been proven that there is still a lack of overview of the apps that are useful for GFL lessons. Thus, the application possibilities of these apps can’t be fully taken advantage of, even though they hold significant potential for foreign language teaching purposes. Based on these statements, a tabular overview of Learning-Apps to learn German as a foreign language and a lesson plan to present exemplary application options of these apps will be provided in this master thesis for the students of Turkish universities and their teachers. With this objective the research question “Which apps can be used for which language skills and competences for teaching GFL?” was carried out with a descriptive analysis. For this, 100 apps were analyzed according to a framework with 23 criteria, categorized and describes individually. The result of this work are these categorizations, descriptions and interpretations in the shape of a lesson plan, which the readers and teachers can refer to. To conclude, further researches to mobile Learning were recommended based on the tables and graphics presented in this master thesis, as it is assumed that the results of this research can contribute to future empirical studies.
