Abstract
EFQM MÜKEMMELLİK MODELİNİN ÇALIŞANLARIN PSİKOLOJİK İYİ OLUŞ VE İŞ TATMİNLERİ ÜZERİNE ETKİSİ Bu çalışmanın amacı, EFQM Mükemmellik Modeli’nin çalışan psikolojik iyi oluşu ve iş tatminine etkisi ile bunların kendi içindeki ilişkiyi irdelemektir. Çalışmanın teori kısmında Toplam Kalite Yönetimi’nin tanımı, gelişimi ve temel ilkelerinden bahsedilerek, EFQM Mükemmellik Modeli kavramını yaratan Avrupa Kalite Yönetimi Vakfı hakkında bilgilendirme yapılmış ve akabinde EFQM Mükemmellik Modeli’nin tanımı, yararları ve 9 ana kriteri açıklanmıştır. Çalışan psikolojik iyi oluşu ve iş tatmininin, işletmedeki ve çalışanlardaki önemi teorik olarak anlatılmış, bunları etkileyen faktörlerden bahsedilerek EFQM Mükemmellik Modeli’nin bunlar üzerindeki etkisi irdelenmiştir. Çalışmanın uygulama kısmında ise 2009 yılında EFQM Ulusal Kalite Ödülü’ne sahip olan, kararlılık aşamasında olan ve bu modele hiç başvurmamış 3 özel sağlık işletmesinde çalışan hemşirelere ve 2009 yılında EFQM Ulusal Kalite Ödülü’ne sahip olan ve olmayan 2 lojistik sektörü işletmesinde çalışan idari departman çalışanlarına uygulanmış anket yöntemi bulgularının analizi ve yorumlaması yapılarak, veriler sayısal olarak değerlendirilmiştir. Çalışmanın sonucunda, EFQM ödülü alan işletmelerde hem psikolojik iyi oluş hem de iş tatmininin tüm faktörlerinde çalışanların psikolojik iyi oluş ve iş tatminine olumlu yönde katkısı olduğu, ödüle sahip olmayan fakat kararlılık aşamasında olan işletmelerde de hiç olmayana göre olumlu bir fark olduğu fakat ödüle sahip olan işletmelerdeki kadar etkili olmadığı kanısına varılmıştır. Ayrıca incelenen tüm işletmelerde EFQM’den bağımsız olarak psikolojik iyi oluş ile iş tatmininin de doğru orantılı olduğu belirlenmiştir. İncelenen işletmelerde EFQM ödülüne sahip olmayan ve kararlılık aşamasında olan sağlık sektöründen iki işletmenin, bu ödüle sahip olmayan lojistik işletmesine göre daha olumlu sonuçlar vermesinin sebebi olarak JCI belgesine sahip olması düşünülmektedir. Bu bilince yakın olması, EFQM ödülüne sahip olan kadar olmasa da olumlu katkıları olmuştur. Sonuç olarak kalite yönetim sistemlerinin çalışanlara sağladığı olumlu etki işletmeye verimlilik olarak döneceği ve bu verimliliğin işletme hedeflerine ulaşmasında katkı sağladığı kanısına varılmıştır.
THE EFFECT OF EFQM EXCELLENCE MODEL OVER EMPLOYEES PYSCHOLOGICAL WELL-BEING AND JOB SATISFACTION This thesis aims to explain the effect of EFQM Excelence Model over employees psychological well-being and its relation between job satisfaction. In theory part, Total Quality Management, its development and its main principles are defined. The Information given for European Quality Management Foundation who created the EFQM Excellence Model concept and subsequently EFQM Excellence Model , benefits and 9 main criterias are defined. The importance of employee job satisfaction and psychological well-being in the enterprise and among employees are theoretically explained, the factors affecting them are being referred to the impact on the EFQM Excellence Model are discussed as well. In implementation part, a survey is created and conducted among nurses who are randomly picked from three different healthcare enterprises that one of them haven‟t been applied to EFQM, one of them have applied to EFQM (in determination phase) and one of them are 2009 EFQM National Quality Award holder. Same survey also conducted to employees in administrative departments of two enterprises operating in logistics sector one of them haven‟t been applied to EFQM and one of them are 2009 v EFQM National Quality Award holder. Analysis and interpretation of the findings of the survey method has been made, the data has been evaluated numerically. As a result of the study, It‟s proved that EFQM award contribute a positive effect both on psychological well-being and all the factors of job satisfaction, when compared to enterprises that have applied to EFQM (determination phase) and enterprises that haven‟t been applied, and enterprises in determination phase also have a positive effect but not effective as award winners. Moreover, for all the studied enterprises, it‟s specified that job satisfaction is directly propotional to psychological well-being regardless of EFQM. In surveyed enterprises, it‟s thought that the main reason for more positive results of two enterprises in healthcare sector when compared to enterprises in logistics sector is that, both of the enterprises are JCI accredited. It‟s believed that their closeness to this discipline have positive contributions although it‟s not as much as the EFQM winner. As final remarks, it is concluded that the positive impact of quality management systems over employees will return as work efficiency and this efficiency will add value to the enterprise while reaching their business objectives.
