Publication: Motorlarda ve motorlu taşıtlarda yakıt ekonomisi ve işletme şartlarının performansa etkilerinin incelenmesi
Abstract
Bu çalışmada motorlarda yakıt ekonomisini geliştirme ve yakıt ekonomisine etki eden faktörler incelenmiştir. Bunlar özellikle motor ve taşıtla ilgili olan çalışmalardır. İlk bölümde motorlu taşıtlarda yakıt ekonomisi geliştirme çabalarına yer verilmiştir. Bu çalışmalar; tasarım teknolojisi, malzeme ve elektronik sistemler, ağırlıktaki azalmalar, hava ve yol direncinin azaltılması gibi çalışmalardır. İkinci bölümde motorlarda bugüne kadar yakıt tüketimini azaltmaya yönelik yapılan çalışmalar incelenmiştir. Yakıt tüketimini azaltmanın bir yolu taşıtlardaki güç ihtiyacını azaltmak diğeri ise gerekli gücü daha verimli bir şekilde sağlamak ve etkin bir şekilde kullanmaktır. Otomotiv sektöründeki arayışlar sıvılaştırılmış petrol gazı (LPG)’nin araçlarda alternatif yakıt olarak kullanımını gündeme getirmiştir. Son bölümde ise alternatif yakıt kullanımı ve LPG (Sıvılaştırılmış Petrol Gaz) dönüşüm sistemleri incelenmiştir. Benzinli araçlarda mevcut sistemde herhangi bir değişiklik yapmadan ek bir sistemle kullanımı sağlanan sıvılaştırılmış petrol gazı (LPG), diğer yakıtlara nazaran daha güvenli bir çevre dostudur. Bu çalışmada yeni nesil LPG Dönüşüm Sistemlerinden SGI sisteminin benzinli motorlara uygulanmasıyla elde edilen yakıt ekonomisi ve alternatif yakıt olarak LPG kullanan iki otomobilin motor performansı üzerine olan etkisi deneysel olarak incelenmiştir. 4 silindirli, 4 zamanlı benzin ve LPG dönüşümlü motorların yakıt tüketimi ölçülmüştür. Yapılan deneylerde otomatik şanzımanda over drive’ın ve klimanın, düz vitesli araçta ise klimanın yakıt tüketimine etkisi tespit edilmiştir. Yapılan bu testler LPG’nin maliyet olarak yaklaşık %40 yakıt ekonomisi sağladığını göstermiştir.
İn this experimental study, improvement of fuel economy and the factors of fuel economy have been investigated such as about engines and vehicles. In first part, the engined vehicles development of fuel economy studies take part in. These studies are about draft technologies, material and electronic systems,weight reduction,resistance to road and weather,etc. In second part, the searches,which try to reduce consuming of fuel in with in blazed engines, take part in. In cars there are two ways of decreasing the fuel consumption ,the first one is limiting the need for power and the other one is maintaining and using the needed power more efficiently and profitable. Inquiries on automotive section has lead to the use of liquid petroleum gas(LPG) as an alternative fuel. In last part, To use Alternative Fuel and LPG (Liquefied Petroleum Gases) transformation systems have been investigated. LPG,which enables the drivers to use their vehicles with the help of an additional device,but without any significant change in the present system,is a more environmentally friendly fuel when compared with other alternatives. In this study, fuel economy which is maintained through the application of SGI, one of the new LPG transform systems to the gasoline engines. The same time we investigate how to LPG effect engine performance of the two cars. The fuel consumption of a four-cylinder four-stroke petrol and to transformed LPG engine have been measured. In the performed tests,the effect of over-drive and air conditioner on automatic transmission is compared to the effect of air conditioner on manual transmission in terms of fuel consumption. As a result of all these studies it is established that the use of LPG leads to a 40% reduction in fuel consumption.
