Roy adaptasyon modeline göre verilen eğitimin stomalı bireylerin uyumuna ve yaşam kalitesine etkisi

Abstract

1. ÖZET Roy Adaptasyon Modeli’ne Göre Verilen Eğitimin Stomalı Bireylerin Uyumuna ve Yaşam Kalitesine Etkisi Öğrenci Adı: Hicran Ekici Danışman Adı: Dr. Öğr. Üy. Bilgi GÜLSEVEN KARABACAK Amaç: Araştırma Roy Adaptasyon Modeli’ne göre verilen eğitimin stomalı bireylerin uyumuna ve yaşam kalitesine etkisini belirlemek amacıyla yapıldı. Gereç ve Yöntem: Araştırma Mart 2019-Aralık 2019 tarihleri arasında bir şehir hastanesinin üroloji ve cerrahi kliniklerinde 23 deney ve 23 kontrol olmak üzere 46 stomalı bireyle randomize kontrollü deneysel olarak yapıldı. Roy Adaptasyon Modeli’ne dayalı yapılandırılmış eğitim verildi. Veriler Bilgi Formu, Ostomi Uyum Ölçeği ve Stoma Yaşam Kalitesi Ölçeği ile toplandı. Verilerin değerlendirilmesinde tanımlayıcı istatistikler, Pearson Ki-Kare testi, Fisher’s Exact tetsi ve Fisher-Freeman-Halton testi kullanıldı. Anlamlılık p<0,05 düzeyinde değerlendirildi. Bulgular: Deney ve kontrol grupları arasında demografik özellikler ve stomaya ilişkin özellikler bakımından anlamlı fark yoktur (p>0,05). Deney ve kontrol grubunda 1. görüşmeye göre 2. görüşme uyum puanlarındaki artış istatistiksel olarak anlamlıydı (p=0,001; p<0,01). Deney grubunun uyum puanlarındaki artış, kontrol grubundaki artıştan büyük bulundu (p<0,05). Stoma yaşam kalitesi puanlarındaki değişimler bakımından gruplar arasında istatistiksel olarak anlamlı farklılık saptanmadı (p=0,956; p>0,05). Sonuç: Stomalı bireylere Roy Adaptasyon Modeline’ne göre verilen eğitimin stomaya uyumu olumlu yönde etkilediği sonucuna ulaşıldı.

The Effect of The Training Given According to The Roy Adaptation Model on The Adjustment and Quality of Life of The Individuals with Stoma Student Name: Hicran EKİCİ Name of Supervisor: Dr. Öğr. Üy. Bilgi GÜLSEVEN KARABACAK Objective: According to the Roy Adaptation Model, it was carried out to determine the effect of education given to individuals with stoma on the adaptation and quality of life. Material and Methods: The study was conducted as a randomized controlled experimental study with 46 stoma individuals, 23 of whom were experimental and 23 of whom were controls, in the urology and surgery clinics of a city hospital between March 2019 and December 2019. Training was given based on the Roy Adaptation Model. Data were collected with Information Form, Ostomy Compliance Scale and Stoma Quality of Life Scale. Descriptive statistics, Pearson Chi-Square test, Fisher's Exact test and Fisher-Freeman-Halton test were used to evaluate the data. Significance was evaluated at the p<0.05 level. Results: There was no significant difference between the experimental and control groups in terms of demographic characteristics and stoma-related characteristics (p>0.05). The increase in compliance scores at the 2nd interview compared to the 1st interview in the experimental and control groups was statistically significant (p=0.001; p<0.01). The increase in the compliance scores of the experimental group was found to be greater than the increase in the control group (p<0.05). There was no statistically significant difference between the groups in terms of changes in stoma quality of life scores (p=0.956; p>0.05). Conclusion: It was concluded that the education given to individuals with stoma according to the Roy Adaptation Model had a positive effect on compliance with the stoma.
