Publication: Sakarya - Türknil mansapları arasındaki sahanın kıyı jeomorfolojisi
Abstract
Bu çalışma, araştırma sahası olarak belirlenen kıyı kuşağında daha önce yapılan araştırmaların bir kısmını güncellemek, eksik kalan kısımları tamamlamak ve gelecekte yapılacak kıyı jeomorfolojisi çalışmalarına örnek teşkil edecek nitelikte detaylı bir altlık metin oluşturmak amacıyla hazırlanmıştır. Sahanın tümüne yönelik kapsamlı bir arazi çalışması yürütülmüş; daha önce literatürde yer almamış morfolojik detaylara ulaşılması hedeflenmiştir. Çalışma üç temel bölümden oluşmaktadır. Birinci bölümde, araştırma sahasının doğal ortam koşulları çerçevesinde; jeolojik yapı, iklim özellikleri, toprak, hidrografik unsurlar, bitki örtüsü ve beşeri coğrafya özellikleri ele alınarak genel bir değerlendirme sunulmuştur. İkinci bölümde ise, çalışma sahasında kıyıların oluşumuna etki eden fiziksel, kimyasal, biyolojik ve beşeri süreçler bir arada değerlendirilerek bütüncül bir kıyı şekillenmesi ortaya konulmuştur. Üçüncü bölümde araştırma sahasının genel jeomorfolojik özellikleri incelendikten sonra sahada gözlemlenen kıyı şekilleri tek tek ele alınmış ve bu şekillerin morfolojik özellikleri hem arazi gözlemleri hem de fotoğraflarla birlikte detaylı şekilde ortaya konulmuştur.
This study was conducted with the primary aim of revisiting and updating previous research carried out along the selected coastal zone, addressing existing gaps, and producing a comprehensive baseline framework that may guide future investigations in coastal geomorphology. A systematic field survey was undertaken across the entire study area, with the specific objective of documenting morphological details that have not been previously recorded in the literature. The study is organized into three main sections. The first section provides an integrated overview of the study area within the context of its natural environmental conditions, including geological structure, climate characteristics, soil composition, hydrographic features, vegetation cover, and aspects of human geography. The second section examines the coastal development processes by considering the interplay of physical, chemical, biological, and anthropogenic factors, thereby presenting a holistic understanding of the forces shaping the coastline. The third section focuses on the general geomorphological characteristics of the study area. Coastal landforms observed during fieldwork are analyzed individually, and their morphological attributes are described in detail, supported by both direct field observations and photographic evidence.
