Abstract
Medya,11 Eylül, Din ÖZET 11 EYLÜL 2001 SONRASI ĐSLAM’LA ĐLGĐLĐ MEDYA DEĞERLENDĐRMELERĐ “11 Eylül 2001 Sonrası Đslam’la Đlgili Medya Değerlendirmeleri” adlı tez çalısması dökümantasyon metodu ile hazırlanmıstır. Çalısma iki ana kısımdan olusmustur. tezin teorik çerçevesini olusturmustur. Teorik çerçeve kendi içinde üç bölüme ayrılmıstır. Birinci bölümde medya kavramı sosyolojik açıdan değerlendirilmistir. Teorik kısmın ikinci bölümünde medya kavramının Din Sosyolojisi açısından değerlendirmesi yer almıstır. Teorik çerçevenin üçüncü bölümünde ise, 11 Eylül 2001 saldırılarının, Din ile medya arasındaki iliskisine ayrılmıstır.11Eylül 2001 miat alınarak, öncesi ve sonrasında Batıda Đslamiyete nasıl bakıldığına değinilmistir. Analiz (Ampirik bulgular) değerlendirilmesine ayrılmıs olan Đkinci Bölümde 4 gazetenin Radikal, Cumhuriyet, Hürriyet ve Zaman gazetelerinin 11 Eylül 2001’den 3 ay önce ve 9 ay sonra tarihleri olmak üzere 1 yıllık bir süreç taranmıstır. Belirlenmis olan bu dört gazetenin 11 Eylül 2001’den önce ve sonra olmak üzere din olgusu içeren haber ve yorumlar sınıflandırılarak karsılastırılmıslardır. Belirlenen gazetelerin birinci ve dıs haberler sayfaları ile bu gazetelerde düzenli olarak yazı yazan yazarların makaleleri, taranarak din olgusu içeren haberler ve yorumlar incelenmistir. MEDIA ASSESSMENTS RELATED TO ISLAM AFTER 9/ 11 In this work, the evaluations of the media related to Islam after 11th September 2001 have been studied in documentation method. The work consists of two main parts and the first part forms a theoretical framework to the thesis which is also divided into three subtitles. In the first chapter, the concept of media is evaluated from a sociological point of view. In the second chapter of the theoretical part, the concept of media is evaluated in terms of religious sociology. The third chapter of the theoretical part is devoted to the relationship between the 11th September attacks and, media and religion. Assuming the date 11th September as a turning point, the changing approaches towards Islam in the West is evaluated. In the second part which is devoted to analytical evaluation (emprical deductions),4 Turkish journals, namely Radikal, Cumhuriyet,Hürriyet and Zaman have been scanned for a period of 1 year,that is 3 months before and 9 months after the 11th September 2001.All the reports,articles,columns and comments took place in these journals are classified and compared.Especialy the first pages and the sections quoting foreign news in these journals have been carefully studied in terms of the abovementioned matters.
