Abstract
1848-1854 yılları arasında Sultan Abdülmecid döneminde inşa edilmiş olan Ortaköy Camii, Boğaziçi'nin siluetine damga vuran yapılardan biridir. Büyük Mecidiye Camii olarak da bilinen yapı hakkında bugüne kadar yapılan çalışmalar yeteri kadar arşiv belgeleri kullanılmadığı için eksik kalmıştır. Başbakanlık Osmanlı Arşivi'nde caminin ilk inşası için hazırlanan iki adet keşif defteri bize yapı hakkında detaylı bilgiler vermektedir. İlk defa bu çalışmada ele alınan defterlerde caminin çeşitli bölümlerine ilişkin tanımlamalar ve harcamalar ayrıntılı olarak anlatılmaktadır. Yapının en önemli sorunlarından birini oluşturan mimarı meselesi de defterlerde kayda geçen bu detaylardan aydınlığa kavuşturulmuştur.
Ortaköy Mosque is one of the buildings that stamps Boğaziçi silhouette. It was built between 1848 and 1854 in the period Sultan Abdülmecid. The studies about the building which is also known as Büyük Mecidiye Mosque has limited information because of not using enough archive documents.Two notebooks were prepared for the first construction of the mosque, obtained from Premiership Ottoman Archive; give us detailed information about the mosque. These notebooks are firstly used in this investigation and they give information in great detail about defines of the various regions of the mosque. One of the most important problems of architecture of the building is clarified by using details in the notebooks.
