Ulus-devlet

Abstract

TEZ ÖZETİ Bu tezde çalışma konusu “ulus-devlet” olarak belirlenmiştir ve bu çalışma giriş, modern devlet; ulus-devletin meşruiyeti, “devlet” ve “ulusçuluk” anlayışı, kimlik vatandaşlık ve öteki ile sonuç olmak üzere beş ana başlık altında toplanmıştır. Konuya ilk olarak, “ulus-devlet”in meşruiyet kaynağı olan “ulus” nedir sorusu irdelenerek başlanmıştır. “Ulus” kavramı da, “ulus” kavramının hukukiliği, “ulus” kavramının siyasallığı ve iktidar, “ulus”un doğallığı ve “ulus”un modernliği şeklinde dört alt başlık altında incelenmiş ve değerlendirme ile bu ana başlık neticelendirilmiştir. “Devlet” ve “ulusçuluk” anlayışı, ana başlığı altında ilk olarak “devlet” nedir sorusu irdelenmeye çalışılmış ancak başlı başına tez konusu olabilecek bu başlık ayrıntıya girilmeden gerekli olduğu kadarı ile ele alınmıştır. Daha sonra “ulus-devlet” tipolojisi temel unsurları ve yapısal çerçevesiyle belirleme çabası kaçınılmaz olarak “ulusçuluk” anlayışının netleştirilmesini gerekli kılmıştır. “Ulus-devlet”in dolayısıyla da “ulus”un “ulusçuluk” kanalıyla bireylere kaçınılmaz bir şekilde dayattığı kimlik ve vatandaşlık statüsü ve neticesi olan “öteki” konusu da ele alınarak bu tez tamamlanmıştır.

OF THE THESIS The subject of this thesis was determined as the ‘’nation-state’’ and was assembled under five main headings; preamble, modern state, legitimation of the nation state, comprehension of ‘’ state’’ and ‘’nationalism’’, identity citizenship and the other one and conclusion. The subject was first started by explicating the question of the definition of the ‘’nation’’ which is the source of the legitimation of the ‘’nation state’’. The concept of ‘’nation’’ was explicated under four subheadings, legality of the concept of nation Political of the concept of nation, natural state of the nation and modernity of the nation and this main heading was concluded with the evaluation. It was tried to explicate the question of ‘’ what is state’’ under the main heading of Comprehension of ‘’ State’’ and ‘’Nationalism’’. However this subject, which can separately be the subject of another thesis, was discussed as much as necessary without going into details. Later the effort of identifying the typology of ‘’nation state’’ with its essential elements and structural frame has inevitably brought the necessity of clarifying the comprehension of ‘’nationalism’’. This thesis was concluded by discussing the subject of ‘the other one’’ which is a statute and consequence of identity and citizenship imposed by the ‘’nation state’’ accordingly by the ‘’nation’’ through ‘’nationalism’’.
