“Yapısal kırılma, ortak bütünleme ve nedensellik analizi dört ülke uygulaması: Türkiye, Yunanistan, Kuzey Kıbrıs Türk Cumhuriyeti ve Güney Kıbrıs Rum Kesimi”

Abstract

“YAPISAL KIRILMA, ORTAK BÜTÜNLEME VE NEDENSELLİK ANALİZİ DÖRT ÜLKE UYGULAMASI: TÜRKİYE, YUNANİSTAN, KUZEY KIBRIS TÜRK CUMHURİYETİ VE GÜNEY KIBRIS RUM KESİMİ” Son yıllarda A.B’ye üyelik süreci hem Türkiye hem de Kuzey Kıbrıs Türk Cumhuriyeti (K.K.T.C.) için çok önemli gündem maddelerinden birini oluşturmaktadır. Özellikle Güney Kıbrıs Rum Kesimi’nin (G.K.R.K) haksız yere sözde tüm Kıbrıs adası adına A.B. üyeliğine kabulünden sonra hem K.K.T.C. hem de Türkiye için A.B.’ye üyelik süreci çok daha zor bir hal almıştır. A.B.’ye üye olabilmek için aday ülkelerin yerine getirmesi gereken kriterlerden biri de ekonomik kriterlerdir. Ancak Kıbrıs adasının yakın tarihine bakıldığı zaman K.K.T.C.’nin çok özel bir durumu olduğu anlaşılmaktadır. Bu nedenle, bu çalışmada K.K.T.C.’nin en çok etkilendiği ülkeler; Türkiye, Yunanistan ve G.K.R.K. ile ekonomik bağımlılıklarının rakamlar yoluyla gözler önüne serilmesi amaçlanmıştır. Bu bağlamda ilgili ülkelerin Tüketici Fiyatları Endeksi, Gayri Safi Yurtiçi Hasıla ve Ödemeler Dengesi değişkenlerine ilk olarak yapısal kırılma durumunda geçerli olan birim kök testleri uygulanmış ardından ortak bütünleme ve nedensellik analizlerine geçilmiştir. Sonuç olarak ilgili değişkenlerin ortak bütünlenen olmadıkları ve nedensellik analizi sonucunda K.K.T.C. değişkeninin en başta Türkiye daha sonra G.K.R.K. değişkenine bağlı olduğu, Yunanistan ve G.K.R.K. ekonomilerinin karşılıklı olarak birbirlerine bağlı oldukları aynı zamanda Türkiye ve K.K.T.C. değişkenlerinin de karşılıklı olarak birbirlerine bağlı oldukları ortaya çıkmıştır. K.K.T.C.’nin söz konusu özel durumu göz önünde bulundurulduğunda çıkan sonuçların beklenene uygun olduğu ifade edilebilir.“STRUCTURAL BREAK,COINTEGRATION and CAUSALITY ANALYSIS OF FOUR COUNTRY APPLICATION: TURKEY, GREECE, TURKISH REPUBLIC of NORTHERN CYPRUS AND GREEK SIDE of SOUTHERN CYPRUS” The membership of European Union manner is one of the most important agenda clauses for both Turkey and Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (T.R.N.C.) recently. Especially after the unfair membership of Greek Side of Southern Cyprus (G.S.S.C) to the E.U., the membership has become more difficult for both T.R.N.C. and Turkey one of the criterion that candidate countries must carry out to become a member of E.U. are economic criterions. However, when looking through the nearest history of the island of Cyprus, it can be realized that T.R.N.C. has a very special situation. Because of this reason, the purpose of this research is to make the economic dependence of T.R.N.C. clear by using arithmetics with the effected countries which are Turkey, Greece and G.S.S.C. By the way, for Consumer Price Index, Gross Domestic Products and Balance of Payments of the interested countries; first of all the unit root tests have applied when there is structural break, then the cointegration and the causality analysis have done. In the conclusion the result of cointegration test is that the interested variables are not cointegrated and the result of causality test is that the T.R.N.C. variable is most depended on Turkey variable first and after that depend on G.S.S.C. variable. Greece and G.S.S.C. economies depend on each other and at the same time Turkey and T.R.N.C. variables depend on each other when the special situation of T.R.N.C. taking into consideration it can be understood that the results are suitable with the expected results.
