Publication: Bir yalvaç arayışı: Turgut Uyar’ın “Veys”, “Akçaburgazlı Yekta” ve Behçet Necatigil ödüllü eseri “Kayayı delen incir”inin arayış izleğinde karşılaştırmalı incelemesi
Abstract
Bu araştırmanın amacı, Turgut Uyar’ın bahsi geçen eserlerinde ana temi oluşturan arayış izleği üzerinde durmaktır. Veys ve Akçaburgazlı Yekta karakterleri, Veysel Karani çerçevesinde karşılaştırmalı incelenirken araştırma örneklemine alınan bu üç karakter yalvaç arayışı teması çerçevesinde analiz edilmektedir. Bu “yalvaç arayışı” imgesi hem gerçek anlamıyla hem de “arayış” kavramı özelinde değerlendirilecektir. Arayış teması, “Kayayı Delen İncir” kitabında yer alan şiirlerde ölüm ve sonsuzluk özelinde sonuçlanacaktır. Turgut Uyar, İkinci Yeni akımının önde gelen şairlerinden birisi olarak modernite ve eleştirisini şiirlerine taşıyan bir şairdir. Bu bağlamda eserlerinde yalnızlık, yabancılaşma gibi varoluşsal temaların öne çıktığı gözlemlenmektedir. Şair bu temaları ise modern kent hayatı ve bu hayat biçiminin getirmiş olduğu ilişkiler çerçevesinde ele almaktadır. Dünyanın En Güzel Arabistanı şiir kitabında öne çıkan Akçaburgazlı Yekta karakteri de modernite eleştirisinin önemli görünümlerinden birisi olarak öne çıkmaktadır. Veys adlı tiyatro metni ise yazarın ölümünden sonra ortaya çıkan ve yayımlanan son eseridir. Tiyatro türünde olan bu eserin ana karakterinin adı da Veys’tir. Veys karakteri, yalvaç arayışı bakımından Veysel Karani karakteriyle önemli ölçüde benzerlik göstermektedir. Akçaburgazlı Yekta karakterinde ise doğrudan bir yalvaç beklentisi söz konusu değilse de yalvaç beklentisi kendisini olayların ele alınış biçiminde göstermektedir. Yalvaç beklentisi içinde olan karakterlerin varoluşsal anlamda yabancılaşma ve yalnızlık gibi duygu durumlarının içinde oldukları belirlenmiştir. Bununla birlikte yalvaç arayışı içinde olmanın, karakterleri sıradan toplumsal yapıdan farklı ve uyumsuz kıldığı da görülmüştür. Behçet Necatigil ödülünü de kazanmış olan “Kayayı Delen İncir”de yer alan şiirlerde de bu arayışın okuru ve şairi götürdüğü nokta, sonsuzluk ve ölüm temleri olmuştur. Bu eser ise yarattığı bir karaktere gerek duymadan, şairin kendi ağzından, yaşamı boyunca hissettiği arayışın sonucunu göstermektedir.
The aim of this research is to focus on the quest theme that forms the main theme in Turgut Uyar's mentioned works. While the characters of Veys and Akçaburgazlı Yekta are examined comparatively within the framework of Veysel Karani, these three characters included in the research sample are analyzed within the framework of the theme of search for a prophet. This image of quest for a prophet will be evaluated both in its literal sense and in the context of the concept of quest. The theme of search will culminate in the poems in the book Kayayı Delen İncir specifically about death and eternity. Turgut Uyar, as one of the leading poets of the İkinci Yeni movement, is a poet who brings modernity and criticism to his poems. In this context, it is observed that existential themes such as loneliness and estrangement come to the fore in his works. The poet discusses these themes within the framework of modern urban life and the relationships brought by this lifestyle. The character of Akçaburgazlı Yekta, who stands out in the poetry book “Dünya’nın En Güzel Arabistan’ı” , stands out as one of the important aspects of modernity criticism. The Theatre text of Veys is the last work of the author that appeared and was published after his death. The name of the main character of this theatrical work is Veys. Veys's character is significantly similar to the character of Veysel Karani in terms of his quest for a prophet. Although there is no direct expectation of a prophet in the character of Akçaburgazlı Yekta, the expectation of a prophet manifests itself in the way events are handled. It has been determined that the characters who are expecting prophet are in emotional states such as existential estrangement and loneliness. However, it has been also seen that being in quest of a prophet makes the characters different and incompatible with the ordinary social structure. In the poems in Kayayı Delen İncir, which also won the Behçet Necatigil award, the point where this search takes the reader and the poet is the themes of eternity and death. This work shows the result of the quest that the poet felt throughout his life, from his own words, without the need for a character he created.
