Abstract
Bu araştırmada, Spor Bilimleri Fakültesi öğrencilerinin sosyal ağların kullanım amaçlarının incelenmesi
amaçlanmıştır. Çalışmanın evrenini; 2021-2022 eğitim öğretim yılı Marmara Üniversitesi Spor Bilimleri Fakültesi
öğrencileri oluştururken, örneklemini; Marmara Üniversitesi Spor Yöneticiliği bölümü öğrencileri oluşturmuştur.
Veriler katılımcılara Google Formlar üzerinden ulaştırılmış ve katılımda gönüllülük esas alınmıştır. Toplamda 182

In this research, it is aimed to examine the purposes of using social networks of the students of the Faculty of Sport Sciences. The universe of the study; While the students of Marmara University Faculty of Sports Sciences for the 2021-2022 academic year constitute the sample; It was formed by students of Marmara University Sports Management Department. The data were delivered to the participants via Google Forms and participation was voluntary. A total of 182 people were reached, and as a result of outlier analysis, 3 forms were not evaluated and a total of 179 forms were evaluated. As a data collection tool, personal information created by the researcher in the first part, Usluel et al. in the second part. (2014) "The Use Purposes Scale of Social Networks" was used. In this study, within the framework of the findings obtained from the data; analysis was done with SPSS 25.0 package program. Mann Whitney U test was used for binary variables and Kruskal Wallis H test was used for more than two variables. In addition, frequency, percentage and reliability coefficient calculations were made. While performing the analysis, the analysis was made according to the 95% confidence interval. As a result of the analysis, it was seen that there was a statistically significant difference in the total and all sub-variables of the scale, except for the content sharing and entertainment sub-dimensions, as a result of the analysis made between the purpose of use of social networks and the age variable. As a result of the analysis made between the working status variable, it was seen that there was only a statistically significant difference in the cooperation sub-dimension, and as a result of the analysis made between the time spent on social media variable, there was a statistically significant difference in the communication sub-dimension (p<0.05). It was observed that there was no statistically significant difference between the purposes of using social networks and the variables of the type of social media used (p>0.05).
