Publication: Küreselleşme sürecinde sivil toplumun demokratikleşmedeki etkisi
Abstract
Changes in the globalization process, which has influenced the whole world culturally, technologically, economically and politically, have created significant changes on individuals and have affected their participation processes in the political arena. The nation-state structure, whose scope has changed with the innovations brought by globalization, has started to give space to the civil society with which it shares authority and duties and also cooperates from time to time, thereby it has started to share its power with it. In this process, where civil society started to become the focal point day by day, its political activities contributed positively to democratization. Civil Society Organizations, which have an important influence in the realization of important concepts such as participation, negotiation, freedom of expression, equality, local government, governance and rights advocacy, have made both individuals and societies conscious of democratic principles and values.
