Tanzimat sürecinde Antakya Ortodoks Rum Patrikhanesi ve Antakya’da dini hayat

Abstract

Osmanlı Devleti'ndeki dört Rum patrikhanesinden biri olan Antakya Ortodoks Rum Pat-rikhanesi Suriye, Filistin ve Lübnan bölgelerindeki Ortodokslar'ın ruhani ve cismani lideriydi. Tanzimat Sürecinde Antakya Ortodoks Rum Patrikhanesi ve Antakya'da Dini Hayat adını taşıyan bu çalışma giriş ve üç bölümden oluşmaktadır. Girişte, Antakya'nın tarihi ve dinî önemi ve Antakya Kilisesi'nin Osmanlı Dönemi'ne gelinceye kadarki durumlarına kısaca değinildi. Birinci Bölümünde Osmanlı Devleti'ndeki gayrimüslimler ve hukuki durumlarıyla Antakya Ortodoks Rum Patrikhanesi'nin hukuki durumu, kilise teşkilatı ve görevlileri anlatıldı. İkinci bölümde, söz konusu Patrikhane'nin Osmanlı Dönemi'ndeki idaresi ve faaliyetle-rine yer verilirken, Üçüncü Bölümde de Antakya'daki Ortodoks Rum cemaatin yaşayışı ve sosyo-ekonomik durumları üzerinde duruldu.

The Antioch Orthodox Greek Patriarchate, which was one of the four Greek Patriarchate in Ottoman Empire, was the spiritual and material leader of Orthodox in Syria, Palestina, Le-banon regions. This study, which includes an introduction and theree parts, is called as Antioch Ortho-dox Greek Patriarchate in Administrative Reforms time and the religious life in Antioch. In introduction part the religious importance and the history of Antioch and the states of Antioch church before Ottoman Empire are mentioned. In the first part the people who are not muslim in Ottoman Empire and their judicial states of Antioch Orthodox Greek Patriarchate, the organization of church and the people who work there are explained. In the second part the manegement and the activites of the mentioned Patriarchate in Ottoman Empire are told. In third part the life style of Orthodox Greek people in Antioch and their socio-economic states are explained.
