zeler, Müzecilik, Halkla İlişkiler, Müze Halkla İlişkileri ÖZET MÜZE HALKLA İLİŞKİLERİ ARACILIĞIYLA KENTLİLİK BİLİNCİ OLUŞTURMA: ÇANAKKALE’DEKİ MÜZELERİN DEĞERLENDİRİLMESİ Bireyin yaşadığı yerle ilişkisini anlamlandırmasına aracı olması nedeniyle müzelerin kentlilik bilinci oluşturma yönünde potansiyelleri vardır. Bu tezin amacı, müze halkla ilişkilerinin kentlilik bilinci oluşturma açısından değerlendirilmesini sağlayacak kavramsal bir yöntem ortaya koymak ve bu yöntem çerçevesinde öneriler geliştirmek olmuştur. Çalışma kapsamında müze halkla ilişkileri aracılığıyla kentlilik bilincinin oluşturulmasına yönelik ölçütler kavramsal yöntemlerle belirlenmiş; belirlenen ölçütler doğrultusunda Çanakkale’de bir alan araştırması gerçekleştirilmiştir. Alan araştırması, müzelerin kültürel altyapı unsuru olarak görüldüğü Çanakkale’nin Merkez İlçesi ile sınırlanmış; ilçede hizmet veren Çanakkale Arkeoloji Müzesi, Çanakkale Deniz Müzesi ve Çanakkale Kent Müzesi ve Arşivi’nin halkla ilişkiler yöntemleri değerlendirilmiştir. Araştırma kapsamında öncelikle müze yöneticileri ile görüşülerek anket uygulanmış; daha sonra Çanakkale Merkez İlçe’de yaşayanlara anket uygulanarak Merkez İlçe’deki müzeler ile ilgili görüşleri ve deneyimleri saptanmıştır. Tezin sonucunda müze halkla ilişkilerinin, kentlilik bilinci oluşturmaya yönelik yöntemler sunduğu görülmüş ve bu yöntemlerden müzelerin yararlanabilmesi için öneriler geliştirilmiştir. Alan araştırmasının sonucuna göre Çanakkale’de müze halkla ilişkiler yöntemlerinin kentlilik bilinci oluşturmaya yönelik geliştirilmesi gerektiği ortaya konmuştur. CREATING URBAN SENSE IN MUSEUMS THROUGH PUBLIC RELATIONS: EVALUATION OF THE MUSEUMS IN CANAKKALE Considering their instrumental role for the individualistic process of attributing a meaning to the relation with the place where the individual lives, museums have a potential of creating urban sense. The aim of this thesis has been propounding a conceptual method enabling the evaluation of museum public relations aimed at creation of urban sense and generating suggestions within the framework of this method. Within the scope of the study in question the criteria of creating urban sense through museum public relations have been determined via literature review and a field research has been executed in line with the determined criteria. The field research was limited within the borders of the Central District of Canakkale where the museums have been considered as cultural substructure components and the public relation methods of Canakkale Archeological Museum, Canakkale Naval Museum, Canakkale City Musuem and Canakkale City Museum Archive have been evaluated. Firstly interviews with the museum managers have been pursued to canvass them and then the Central District of Canakkale inhabitants’ views and experiences in relation with the museums in the Central District of Canakkale have been ascertained via questionnaires within the context of the research. In the conclusion part of the thesis, the fact that museums public relations have been providing several methods aimed at creation of urban sense and the suggestions have been generated to enable museums to benefit from these methods. Based on the results of this field research it has been propound that the improvement of the museum public relation methods in Canakkale aimed at creation of urban sense is necessary
