Publication: Toplumsal sorunlarda bir ifade biçimi olarak örme
Abstract
Örmenin cinsiyet ve kadındaki aldığı roller ile birlikte uğradığı değişimler sonucunda göç, savaş, cinsiyet ayrımı, gibi toplumsal sorunlarda ifade biçimi olarak yer aldığı organizasyonların sokakta ne kadar etkili olabileceği konusunda bilgi verilmektedir. Yapılan araştırma, örmenin bir ifade aracı olma rolünü üstlenip feminizm ile beraber gelişerek aktivist hareketlerde değişimler yaratması sonucu toplumun her bir ferdinde cinsiyet, yaş grubu ve meslek fark etmeksizin herkesin başvurabileceği bir yol olduğunu açıklayarak örmenin yalnızca boş zaman uğraşı olmadığının gösterilmesini amaçlamaktadır. Tezin ilk bölümünde çalışmanın konusu, amacı ve yaklaşım şekline değinilmiştir. İkinci bölümde, örmenin etimolojisinden başlanılarak, tarihi ve karakteristik özellikleri hakkında bilgi verilmektedir. Üçüncü bölümde, cinsiyet faktörünün örmede sebep olabileceği değişimle, el örgüsünün kadınların eğitimine dahil olması üzerinden verilerek el örgüsünün kullanım amacının çeşitli değişimlere uğradığı tespit edilmektedir. Dördüncü bölümde, örmenin siyasi mesajlarla reklamlarda yer almakla kalmayıp savaşlarda ve özgürlük mücadelelerinde de başvurulan bir yöntem olduğu görülmektedir. Son bölümde ise, sosyal problemlerde bir araya gelen grupların belirledikleri temalar ve mekanlar ile el örgüsü parçalar hazırlayarak aktivist hareketlere yeni bir soluk kazandırdığı açıklanmaktadır.
As a result of the changes that knitting has undergone, it has been observed that it appears as a form of expression of social problems such as migration, war and gender discrimination. Moreover, it has been stated in the research that knitting takes on the role of being a means of expression. For instance, in relation to feminist movements, and by creating changes in activist movements, the knitting can be regarded as a concept that can be applied by every member of society, regardless of gender, age group and profession. For this reason, it aims to show that knitting is not just a leisure activity. In the first chapter, the subject, purpose and approach of the study are explained. In the second chapter, starting from the etymology of knitting, details on its history and characteristic features are explained. In the third chapter, with the change that the gender factor can cause in knitting, it is analyzed that the purpose of hand knitting has undergone various changes with the inclusion of hand knitting in women’s education. In the fourth chapter, it is seen that knitting’s area of use isn’t only limited to being used in political messages or advertisements, but it is also used in wars and freedom struggles. And in the last chapter of the thesis, it is explained that in social issues, groups that come together prepare hand-knitted pieces with the themes and places that they determined and provide a new perspective to activist movements.
