Günümüz sanatında sessiz şiddetin ifşası

Abstract

Bu tez çalışmasında; şiddet fenomenlerinin şiddetin sessizliği adı altında düşünürlerin söylemleri ve sanatçıların yapıtları aracılığı ile seyirlik bir nesne haline gelmesi sanat pratikleri içerisinde farklı disiplinlerde incelenecektir. Şiddet kavramı üzerine derinlemesine bir araştırma gerçekleştirilecek olup, ayrıca şiddetin gündelik yaşamda farklı isimler adı altında kılıktan kılığa girmiş bir etken olması faktörü de yer edinecektir. Şiddet kavramının gözle görünür bir olguyken harap etme, yıkıp bozma, zarar verme, kırıp dökme etkenleri de baz alınarak sanat yapıtı haline geldiğinde estetik bir hal alması şiddeti görünür bağlamından çıkartmaktadır. Sürekli değişen şartlar altında şiddet olgusunun günümüz şartlarında etkin olmadığı bir alan bulunmamaktadır. Ancak bu olgunun estetik bağlamda hayata geçirilmesi çoğu zaman sanat yapıtı üzerinden gerçekleşmiştir. Şiddet imgesinin sanatçılar tarafından görsel olarak kullanım nedenleri, sanatsal üretimleri çerçevesinde ne şekilde temsil edildikleri, bu bağlamda gösterilmeye çalışılacaktır. Değişen şartların neticesinde şiddet olgusu, yaratıcı üretimlerin gerçekleştirilebildiği alanlar haline gelmektedir. Kimi zamanda bu alanlar şiddet göstergeleri olarak şiddetin meşrulaştırılmasına olanak vermektedir. Ayrıca şiddet ve şiddetin teatral bir biçimde ortaya konması, aynı zamanda iktidar ve devletlerin birbiri üzerinde üstünlük kurma aracı olmasıdır. Yıkıntı ve şiddet, yaratıcı süreç içerisinde çeşitlilik göstermektedir. Şiddet kavramına duyulan ilgi, günümüzde gösteri olarak sunulmakta ve seyirlik birer görüntü haline gelmektedir. Bu nedenle; disiplinlerarası üretimler hakkında yapılacak bu araştırmaların, şiddet ve fenomenlerinin estetize edilmesi, güç ve iktidar olguları ile gösteri haline gelmesi de ele alınmıştır. Bu bağlamda konu üzerine üretimler yapan, kayıtsız kalmayan sanatçıların farklı disiplinlerdeki çalışmaları incelenip yorumlanacaktır.

This thesis will examine the phenomenon of violence becoming a spectacle through the discourse of thinkers and the works of artists under the title of the silence of violence within various disciplines of artistic practices. A thorough investigation into the concept of violence will be conducted, alongside the factor of violence assuming different guises in everyday life under various names. When the concept of violence transitions into an aesthetic form by considering factors such as destruction, demolition, harm, and vandalism, it removes violence from its visible context. Under constantly changing conditions, there is no area where the phenomenon of violence is not effective in today's circumstances. However, the realization of this phenomenon in an aesthetic context often occurs through artworks. The reasons for artists' visual use of the violence imagery, how they are represented within their artistic productions, will be attempted to be demonstrated in this context. As a result of changing conditions, the phenomenon of violence becomes areas where creative productions can be realized. Sometimes these areas allow the legitimization of violence as indicators of power. Furthermore, the theatrical representation of violence also serves as a means for states and powers to establish superiority over one another. Destruction and violence take on various forms within the creative process. The interest in the concept of violence is presented as a spectacle in today's world and becomes visual spectacles. Therefore, in addition to interdisciplinary productions, this research also addresses the aestheticization of violence and its transformation into displays of power and authority. In this context, the works of artists who produce on the subject and do not remain indifferent will be examined and interpreted across different disciplines.
