Günümüzde istatistiksel kalite kontrol yöntemlerinden istatistiksel proses kontrol ve kabul örneklemesinin sanayide yaygın bir kullanım alanı vardır. Bunlardan SPC (İstatistiksel Proses Kontrol) üretimde hata gerçekleşmeden önlemlerin alınmasını sağlayan; ürünlerin hurdaya çıkmasını veya yeniden tashihini önleyen ve böylece firmaları önemli maddi külfetlerden kurtaran bir yöntem olmuştur. Firmaların kalite kontrolü için kullandıkları kabul örneklemesi ise gerek giriş kalite kontrolünde; gerek üretim süreci esnasında; gerekse son kontrollerde yaygın olarak kullanılan ve de belli miktarlarda örnekle büyük miktarlarda ana kütlelerin kalite seviyeleri hakkında fikir veren işçilik ve zamandan tasarruf sağlayan ve bu sayede oldukça kullanışlı araçtır. Bu çalışma ile bir imalat işletmesinde bu metodların etkinliğinin ölçülmesi amaçlanmıştır. SPC gives chances to detect failures and takes the actions before occurs so prevents reworking of products or scraps and reduces the costs of productions. However acceptance sampling which is used for quality control of production on receiving inspection, processing or final control is a good manner of reaching a decision whether the lot is acceptable or not by a number of sample. With this study the effectiveness of this methods are measured in a production plant.
