Öğretim ilke ve yöntemlerinden gösterip yaptırmaya dayalı ud öğretiminin öğrencilerin başarı durumuna etkileri

Abstract

Araştırmanın amacı “Gösterip yaptırma yöntemine dayalı ud öğretiminin öğrencilerin başarı durumuna bir etkisi var mıdır?” sorusunun cevabını aramaktır. Araştırmada hem nitel hem nicel yöntem kullanılmıştır. Çalışma, 12’si deney grubunda, 12’si kontrol grubunda olmak üzere toplam 24 ud öğrencisi ile yürütülmüştür. Katılımcıların gelişim psikolojisine göre 17-45 yaş aralığını kapsayan genç yetişkinlik döneminde olması göz önünde bulundurulmuştur. Deney ve kontrol gruplarındaki öğrenciler rastgele atama yöntemiyle belirlenmiştir. Grupların dengeli bir dağılım gösterdiği ön test sonucu ile tespit edilmiştir. Sekiz haftalık deneysel işlemler süresince deney grubundaki öğrenciler konuları meşk bağlamında nota kullanmadan gösterip yaptırma yöntemi ile taklit ve tekrara dayalı olarak işlemiştir. Kontrol grubundaki öğrenciler ise çalınan egzersiz, etüt ve eserleri notaları aracılığıyla rasyonel bir şekilde çalışmıştır. Kontrol grubundaki öğrenciler her ders için kendilerine verilen nota kağıtları üzerinden dersi takip etmişlerdir. Araştırmada veri toplama aracı olarak araştırmacı tarafından geliştirilen performans belirlemeye yönelik gözlem formu kullanılmıştır. Gözlem formu deneysel işlemler öncesi ön-test, deneysel işlemler sonrası son-test ve iki ay bekleme süresi sonunda kalıcılık testi olarak her iki çalışma grubuna uygulanmıştır. Toplanan nicel veriler SPSS 25.00 istatistik analiz edilmiştir. Araştırma bulgularından elde edilen sonuçlara göre; deney ve kontrol gruplarında istatistiksel olarak anlamlı bir fark gözlemlenmemiştir. Ancak kalıcılık testi verilerine göre deney grubu öğrencilerinin kontrol grubu öğrencilerine göre daha başarılı oldukları görülmüştür.

The aim of this research is to try to find an answer to question of: “Does demonstration-and-practice based oud education method have effect on students’ success levels?”. In the research both quantitative and qualitative methods are used. It is carried out with 24 oud students, 12 of whom are in the experiment group while 12 of them are in the control group. Due to developmental psychology, participants are selected with an age range which is between 17-45. Students in both experiment and control groups are randomly assigned to their groups. It is determined with an preliminary test that groups have balanced distributions. During the 8 weeks of experimental processes period, students in the experiment group were taught with respect to the term “meşk” which is a demonstrate-and-practice method based on mimic and repetition without using notes. In the control group students studied the exercises, practices and works in a rational way by using notes. Students in the control group followed each lesson with note papers given to them for each session. In the research observation form to evaluate performance is used which is developed by the researcher. Observation form is applied to both groups in three phases; preliminary test for pre-experimental period, post-experimental test at the end of experiments, and permanence test after two months of waiting period after the post-experimental test. Gathered quantitative data are analyzed with SPSS 25.00 statistic program. Due to the results acquired by the research findings; it is not observed that there is a significant difference between the experiment and control group statistics. However, due to the permanence test data it is seen that students who are in the experiment group are more successful when compared to ones who are in the control group.
