Publication: Gümrük birliği teorisi ve gümrük birliğinin Türkiye ekonomisine etkileri
Abstract
GÜMRÜK BİRLİĞİ TEORİSİ VE GÜMRÜK BİRLİĞİ’NİN TÜRKİYE EKONOMİSİNE ETKİLERİ Dünya 21. yüzyıla girerken, küreselleşme ve bölgeselleşme hareketleri 20.yüzyıla göre hız kazanmıştır. Mal ve sermaye piyasalarındaki serbestleşme, varolan ve yeni kurulan iktisadi entegrasyonlar uluslararası ekonomik ilişkileri yeni bir boyuta taşımıştır. Bu süreçte, Türkiye’de 40 yılı aşkın bir süredir üyesi olmak istediği Avrupa Birliği ile tam üyeliğin bir aşaması olan gümrük birliği anlaşmasını 1995 yılında imzalamıştır. Ve 1 ocak 1996 yılı itibariyle anlaşma yürürlüğe girmiştir. Geçen on yıl içerisinde Türkiye’nin gümrük birliğinden sağladığı kazançları olduğu kadar kayıplarıda olmuştur. Bu çalışma ile gümrük birliğinin Türkiye ekonomisi üzerine etkileri anlatılmaya çalışılmıştır.
THE THEORY OF CUSTOMS UNION AND THE IMPACT OF CUSTOMS UNION ON THE ECONOMY OF TURKEY While the World welcomes 21st century, the movements of globalisation and Regionalisation gain speed comparing to 20th century. The liberalisation in the market of goods and capital, existing and newly established economical integretions, move the international economical relations to a new dimension. During this process, Turkey, wishing over 40 years to be a member of European Union, signed the Treaty of Customs Union, which is a phase for full membership to Europian Union, in 1995. And the treaty was put into effect on the 1st of January 2006. For the last ten years, Turkey has had losses from customs union as well as gains. In this thesis, the effects of customs union on the economy of Turkey are tried to be explained.
