Publication: Benchmarking uygulamalarının örgüt performansı üzerindeki etkilerine yönelik bir araştırma
Abstract
Bu çalışmanın amacı, benchmarking uygulamalarının örgüt performansı üzerindeki etkilerinin yapılan araştırmayla ortaya konulmasıdır. Tezin araştırma aşamasında, Berdan Tekstil A.Ş’nin rakip 5 firmayla yapmış olduğu benchmarking çalışmaları ortaya koyulmuş ve bunun sonucunda Berdan’ın diğerlerine göre güçlü-zayıf yanları ortaya çıkmıştır. Performans kavramı ile benchmarking kavramı birbiriyle bağlantılıdır. Organizasyonda uygulanacak olan başarılı bir benchmarking uygulaması sayesinde örgüt hem güçlü hem de zayıf yanlarını ortaya koyar,bundan sonra ise zayıf yönlerini güçlendirip örgütsel performansını arttırmak doğrultusunda stratejik kararlar alır ve bu kararları uygulamaya koyabilir. Berdan Tekstil araştırmamda görüldüğü üzere, Berdan Tekstil A.Ş. rakip firmalarla yaptığı benchmarking çalışmaları sonucunda kendindeki zayıf yönleri ortaya koymuş,bu doğrultuda önlemler almıştır.Günümüzde artan rekabet karşısında örgütsel performansın arttırılması bir amaç iken benchmarking ise önemli araçlardan bir tanesidir.
The aim of this study is pointing out how the benchmarking applications effect an organization’s performance. In the research stage of this thesis, it is shown that how Berdan Textile made benchmarking with other 5 opponent companies and as a result of this benchmarking applications Berdan Textile saw its strong and weak sides. Performance and benchmarking are two concepts which are connected to each other. A successful benchmarking application which is applied in an organization , can show both strong and weak sides of the organization. So you can measure your weak sides and you can make some movements to improve your weak sides. As it is shown in my Berdan Textile research stage, Berdan made benchmarking applications and saw its own weak sides. After this, they made some important strategical movements to improve their organizational performance. Nowadays while the globalization is increasing, increasing the amount of performance is aim and while doing this aim benchmarking is one of the most important instrument.
