Publication: AHMET MİTHAT'IN GAZİ OSMAN OYUNUNA DAİR ELEŞTİRİSİ
Abstract
Ahmet Mithatın Zuhur-ı Osmaniyan adlı yarım kalmış bir oyun eleştirisi, kaynaklarda onun bir oyunu olarak geçmektedir. Bu eser Vaçidi tarafından Türkçeye çevrilen Aleksandre Yani Istamatyadisin Gazi Osman adlı eserinin eleştirisidir. Eleştiride Ahmet Mithat oyun bölümlemesi ve kelimeler üzerinde durduğu gibi, Osman Gazinin, Mal Hatunun sözleri ve davranışlarını beğenmez. Gazi Osman oyununu okuyunca Ahmet Mithatın eleştirilerini haklı bulmak zorlaşır. Zira oyun döneminin oyunlarından çok daha derli topludur ve eserde bir çeşit kâhin gibi kullanılan Çingene kızları, Macbeth oyununun etkisini gösterir. Bu yazıda oyun tanıtılacak ve Ahmet Mithatın görüşleri tartışılacaktır.
Ahmet Mithat s Zuhur-ı Osmaniyan (Emergence of Ottoman), is an uncompleted critical article of a play named Gazi Osman by Aleksandre Yani Istamatyadis. The play was translated into Turkish by Vaçidis. In his critic Ahmet Mithat disagrees the usage of acts and scenes in the play and some words. After reading Gazi Osman, it is not easy to agree with Ahmet Mithat s critics. The play is much more decent than the most of the plays written at the time. The Gypsies who foresee the future events in the play remind the Macbeth s witches. In this article the play and Ahmet Mithat s views will be discussed.
