Publication: Duygu düzenleme psikoeğitim programının 3-6 yaş aralığındaki çocukların olumsuz duygularını düzenleme ve annelerinin bu duygularla baş etme becerilerine olan etkisi
Abstract
Duygular insan yaşamının önemli bir parçasıdır. Günlük hayata uyum sağlayabilmek adına duyguların yoğunluğu ve sıklığının düzenlenmesi gerekir. Duygu düzenleme bu noktada devreye girer. İlk çocukluk çağında çocukların duygularının kabul edilmesi, ifade edilmesine teşvik edilmesi ve ailelerin bu yönde çocuklarını desteklemesi duygu düzenleme becerilerinin gelişimini etkiler. Bu araştırmanın amacı annelere ve çocuklarına verilen Duygu Düzenleme Psikoeğitim nın çocukların duygu düzenleme becerilerine etkisi ve annelerin çocuklarının olumsuz duygularıyla baş etmelerinde etkisinin incelenmesidir. Araştırma ön test son test kontrol gruplu deneysel modelde bir araştırmadır. Araştırmanın evrenini 2022-2023 eğitim öğretim yılı İstanbul ili Tuzla ilçesi Milli Eğitim Bakanlığı’na bağlı anaokullarında okul öncesi eğitime devam eden 3-6 yaş arası çocuklar ve bu çocukların anneleri oluşturmaktadır. Çalışmaya 20 anne ve 20 çocuk katılmıştır. Deney grubundaki 10 anneye ve 10 çocuğa haftada 1 gün olmak üzere 6 hafta olarak planlanan Duygu Düzenleme Eğitim uygulanmıştır. Araştırma kapsamında annelere ve çocuklarına uygulanan programın deney grubu üzerindeki etkililiğini değerlendirmek amacıyla; çocukların duygularını tanımasını, adlandırmasını ve bu duygudan kurtulma stratejilerini değerlendiren “Okul Öncesi Duygu Düzenleme Becerileri Ölçeği” kullanılmıştır. Annelerin çocuklarının olumsuz duyguları karşısında verdiği tepkileri değerlendirmek için geliştirilen “Çocukların Olumsuz Duygularıyla Baş Etme Ölçeği” kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın nicel verilerine ek olarak araştırmacı tarafından hazırlanan demografik bilgi formu kullanılmıştır. Ölçeklerden elde edilen deney ve kontrol grubundaki çocukların ve annelerin ön test, son test verileri arasındaki farkın anlamlılığını test etmek için parametrik olmayan analiz yöntemleri kullanılmıştır. Verilerin analizinde SPSS 25.0 kullanılmıştır. Analizler sonucunda çocuklara verilen eğitimlerin çocukların duygu düzenleme becerilerini geliştirdiği görülmüştür. Araştırma kapsamında annelere verilen eğitimin, anneleri çocuklarının olumsuz duygularıyla baş etme becerilerini geliştirmede etkili olduğu görülmüştür.
Emotions are an important part of human life. In order to adapt to daily life, the intensity and frequency of emotions must be regulated. Emotion regulation comes into play at this point. Accepting children's emotions in early childhood, encouraging them to express emotions, and families supporting their children in this direction affect the development of emotion regulation skills. The aim of this study is to examine the effect of Emotion Regulation Psychoeducation Program given to mothers and their children’s emotion regulation skills and the effect of mothers on coping with their children’s negative emotions. It is a research consists of mothers and their children aged 4-6 who continue their preschool education in kindergartens affiliated to thr Ministry of National Education in Tuzla district of Istanbul in the 2022-2023 academic year. 20 mothers and 20 children participated in the study. Emotion Regulation Training Program planned for 6 weeks, once a week, was applied to 10 mothers and 10 children in the experimental group. In order to evaluate the effectiveness of the program applied to mothers and their children within the scope of the research on experimental group; the “Preschool Emotion Regulation Skilss Scale” developed which evaluates children’s recognizing and naming their emotions and their strategies for getting rid of this emotion, was used. The Coping with Children's Negative Emotions Scale, which was developed to evaluate mothers' reactions to their children's negative emotions, was used. In addition to the quantitativedata of the research, the demographic information form prepared by the researcher was also be used. Non-parametric analysis methods were used to test the significance of the difference between the pre-test and post-test data of children and mothers in the experimental and control groups obtained from the scales. SPSS 25.0 program was used to analyze the data. As a result of the analysis, it was seen that the training given to children improved their emotional regulation skills. It was observed that the education given to mothers within the scope of the research was effective in improving their skills in coping with their children's negative emotions.
