Sokak çocuklarına meslek edindirmede program ve atölye uygulaması üzerine bir inceleme

Abstract

Bu çalışmanın amacı sokak çocuklarının teknik eğitimine yönelik kullanılan bir modeli teklif etmektir. Sokak çocuklarının mesleki eğitim ile donatılarak yeniden topluma kazandırılması için gerekli temel mesleki atölyelerin oluşturulması ve sokak çocuklarına uygun ders içeriklerinin araştırılması hedeflenmiştir. Bu çalışmada eğitilmesi hedeflenen öğrencilerin önemli bir kısmı ilköğretim eğitimini tamamlamamış, en az dokuz ayını sokaklarda geçirmiş ve aileleri herhangi bir sebeple parçalanmış çocuklardır. Genel olarak bu özelliklere sahip olan sokak çocuklarının sağlıklı bir birey olarak topluma kazandırılması, çocukların ihtiyaçlarını karşılayacak maddi gücü sağlayacak işlerde istihdamı ile doğru orantılıdır. Çocukların bu tür işler bulması ise kalifiye eleman olarak istihdamı ile mümkündür. Bu nedenle Türkiye’nin nüfus ve sanayi bakımından en büyük dünyanın ise en önemli şehirlerinden biri olan İstanbul’da Sokak çocuklarına meslek eğitimi verebilecek, onların topluma geri dönüşünü sağlayacak dört uygulamalı eğitim atölyesi planlanmıştır. Bu atölyelerin temel mekanik, elektrik, elektronik ve otomasyon konularında eğitim vermesi uygun görülmüştür. Ülke şartları ve istihdam olanakları düşünülerek seçilen mesleklerin öğretilmesine yönelik bu atölyelerde dört ay süresince çocuklara uygulamalı eğitimler yaptırılmış, bu süre içersinde ise öğrencilerin davranışları gözlemlenmiştir. Bu çalışma sonucunda uygulanmakta olan bir model yapısı ve gözlem sonuçları değerlendirilmiş, sokak çocuklarının mesleki eğitimleri sırasında uygulanabilecek bir model teklif edilmiş ve ilk uygulama sonuçları değerlendirilerek sunulmuştur.

The aim of the present study is to propose a model for technical training for the education of street children. The basic workshop equipment to give the street children necessary skill for finding a job and return the society is the primary aim of the study. The potential target student group of the study is the people who had not finished their regular study such as primary and secondary school and had the history of spending at least 9 months on the street and their families are apart. Generally, to make the street children return to their home or normal family life is possible by helping them to find a job which will satisfy them. The job should provide them necessary money to live. This opportunity can be only presented them with skill development of the street children by technical training. Thus, a technical training center with four type of workshop is planned in Istanbul, which is the biggest city of Turkey and one of the biggest cities in the world in the aspect of population and industrial enterprises. The planned workshops are supposed to provide the basic knowledge in the fields of mechanical, electric, electronics and automation technologies. The topics were chosen by considering the employment of the young and the conditions of Turkey and industrial structure of Istanbul and the students were underwent to 4–months training in the workshops., The behavior of the students were observed during the training. The primary results of the technical training for skill development of street children are also reported in the preset thesis.
