Ayşe Erkmen: çağdaş sanat pratiklerinde mekân, kavram ve biçim ilişkisi

Abstract

Erkmen’in çalışmalarını yalnızca deneyime ve ilişkiselliğe dayandıran bakış onun üretimlerini yüzeysel bir şekilde ele almamıza neden olacaktır. Bu üretimlerin sanat yapıtının mekânına getirdiği açılımları okuyabilmenin yolu, onlara tamamen sağlam bir zeminin yani mekâna içkin tüm yapının içinden bakmakla imkânlıdır. Bu tez çalışması, Erkmen’in üretimlerini önceleyen mekânı ve onun işleyiş mekanizmalarını sorgulayarak bu yapıtlarda mekân, izleyici ve sanat yapıtı arasındaki ilişkinin yeniden düşünülmesidir. Sanat yapıtının mekânsal olarak yeniden okunması mekândaki nesnelerin bilgisine nasıl ulaştığımız sorusunu beraberinde getirir. Odağımızı deneyim ve ilişkisellikten mekânın tüm yapısıyla problematize edilişine kaydırmak, sanat yapıtının mekânına bakışımızı “başka mekânlar”ın imkanlılığına doğru yöneltir. AyşeErkmen’in üretimlerine ilişkin bu yeniden okuma “sanat yapıtı nedir?”, “ sanat yapıtının sorunları nelerdir?” temelinde şekillenmektedir.The aspect that grounds Ayşe Erkmen’s works only on experience and relationality will lead us to read her productions in a superficial methodology. The way to read expansions in the space of artwork those brought by her productions is possible with looking through the whole structure intrinsic in the completely solid ground that is to say the space itself. This thesis is about rethinking the relationship between the space, spectator and the artwork by the preexisting space of Erkmen’s productions and problematizing their running mechanisms. Spatially rereading of the artwork brings the question of how we reach the knowledge of spatial objects. Shifting our focus through experience and relationality to the problematization of the entire structure of space turns our aspect about the space of artwork to the possibility of “other spaces.” This rereading about Erkmen’s productions is formed on the basis of “what is the artistic work?”, “what are the problems of artistic work?”
