Özel yetenekli öğrencilerin adalet değer düzeylerini geliştirmeye yönelik bir eylem araştırması

Abstract

Bu araştırmada, genel olarak özel yetenekli öğrencilere adalet değerini kazandırmak için örnek olay yönteminden nasıl faydalanılabileceğini ortaya koymak amaçlanmıştır. Çalışma, araştırma amacına uygun olarak nitel araştırma yönteminde gerçekleştirilmiştir. Bu çerçevede çalışma, nitel araştırma desenlerinden özgürleştirici/geliştirici/eleştirel eylem araştırması desenine göre yürütülmüştür. Çalışmanın katılımcıları, amaçlı örneklem çeşitlerinden ölçüt örneklemeye göre belirlenmiştir. Buna göre katılımcıların özel yetenekli tanısı alarak Bilim ve Sanat Merkezi’ne (BİLSEM) devam ediyor olma ve cinsiyet bakımından eşit dağılım ölçütlerini karşılaması sağlanmıştır. Bu çerçevede, Türkiye’nin doğusunda yer alan bir ilde bulunan BİLSEM’in Bireysel Yetenekleri Fark Etme (BYF) programına devam eden 3 kız ve 3 erkek olmak üzere toplam 6 özel yetenekli 5. sınıf öğrencisi araştırmanın katılımcısı olarak belirlenmiştir. Çalışmanın verileri 2021-2022 eğitim öğretim yılının 2. Döneminde gerçekleştirilen uygulama ile elde edilmiştir. Bu kapsamda araştırmada, örnek olayın analiz sürecinde yöneltilen sorulara öğrencilerin vermiş olduğu cevaplar veri olarak değerlendirilmiştir. Sınıf içi diyaloglar içerik analizine tabi tutularak işlenmiştir. Verilerin analiz edilmesiyle, uygulama sonunda özel yetenekli öğrencilerin adalet değerine ilişkin perspektiflerinin çeşitlendiği görülmüştür. Bu kapsamda öğrencilerin uygulama öncesinde adalet değerini bilgi ve kavram boyutunda ele alırken uygulama sonunda öğrencilerin adalet değerine ilişkin düşüncelerinin kapsamının düzenleyici adalet ve sosyal adalet boyutlarını da içerecek biçimde genişlediği tespit edilmiştir. Bu çerçevede araştırmada genel olarak örnek olay yöntemi temelli uygulamaların özel yetenekli öğrencilerin adalet değer düzeylerinin gelişimini müspet yönde etkilediği sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.In this research, it is aimed to reveal how the case study method can be used to gain the justice value to gifted students in general. The study was conducted in the qualitative research method fitted in the purpose of research. In this framework, the study was carried out according to the liberating/developing/critical action research design, which is one of the qualitative research designs. The participants of the study were designated based on criterion sampling, which is the one of the purposive sampling types. Accordingly, criteria which are participants enrolled to the Science and Art Center (BİLSEM) by being identified as gifted and the equal number of genders were met. In this framework, a total of 6 gifted students from 5th grade, 3 girls and 3 boys, who attend Science and Art Center that is in the eastern part of Turkey from the program of recognition of Individual Talents (BYF) were determined as the participants of the research. The data of the research were obtained with the application carried out in the 2nd semester of the 2021-2022 academic year. In this context, the answers given by the students to the questions posed in the analysis process of the case study were evaluated as data. The data were processed by content analysis. By analyzing the data, it was seen that the perspectives of gifted students on the value of justice diversified at the end of the practice. In this context, it was determined that while the students discussed the value of justice in terms of knowledge and concept before the application, at the end of the practice, the scope of the students' thoughts on the value of justice expanded to include the dimensions of regulatory justice and social justice. In this context, it was concluded in the research that the practices based on the case study method in general positively affected the development of the justice value levels of gifted students
