Abstract
The 21st century, called the digital age, has not only brought technological innovations to the service of humanity, but also allowed the development of new scientific methods in different disciplines. These technological developments have brought about the formation of new platforms. One of these formations is subscription-based streaming services that allow users to watch TV series and movies on an internet-connected device. The increasing number of subscribers of such broadcasting services, in other words digital platforms, every day has led to the creation of a competitive environment in this field. Following this competitive environment, individuals' digital platform preferences have also gained importance. In this regard, digital platforms such as Netflix and Amazon Prime Video have become frequently used today. The increase in this usage rate can be attributed to situations such as the fact that people can access the platforms from anywhere there is an internet connection, the increase in internet usage, the fact that these platforms can be accessed via PC or mobile applications, companies diversifying their content production, companies' advertising strategies, and the lack of division in content viewing. . In this study, digital platforms and the reasons why these platforms are preferred are estimated. The targeted outputs here are to analyze the platforms that will be preferred with the highest probability and their reasons for preference and to apply game theory. A survey was conducted with 139 people using the snowball sampling method. The outputs obtained from the survey questions asked to the users for the digital platforms in question constitute the data set of the Hidden Markov Analysis. A survey was conducted with 72 people to establish the game theory matrix, and the results were evaluated.
