Publication: Cerrahi hastalarının hemşirelik bakımından memnuniyet düzeylerinin belirlenmesi
Abstract
1.ÖZET Bu çalışma, cerrahi hastalarının hemşirelik bakımından memnuniyet düzeylerini belirlemek amacıyla tanımlayıcı olarak yapıldı. Araştırmanın evrenini; Kocaeli il sınırlarında özel bir hastanede cerrahi girişim geçiren hastalar oluşturdu. Örnekleme 18 yaş ve üstü 191 hasta alındı. Araştırmada veriler bireysel özellikler formu ve 19 sorudan oluşan Newcastle Hemşirelik Bakımından Memnuniyet Ölçeği kullanılarak toplandı. Bulguların değerlendirilmesinde Oneway Anova ve Student t testi ile yüzdelik dağılımlar kullanıldı. Araştırma sonucunda; hastaların % 53.4’ünün 18-39 yaş aralığında, %60.7’sinin erkek, % 39.8’inin yükseköğretim, % 18.8’inin ev hanımı, % 80.1’inin evli olduğu belirlendi. Hemşirelik bakımından memnuniyet düzeyi ortalaması 87.77 ± 12.96 olarak bulundu. En yüksek memnuniyetin “hemşirelerin mahremiyete gösterdikleri saygı” dan, en düşük memnuniyetin ise “hemşirelerin size durumunuz ve tedavinizle ilgili yeterli bilgi vermeleri” den olduğu belirlendi. Bu sonuçlar cerrahi hastalarının aldıkları bakımdan genel olarak memnun olduklarını göstermektedir.
DETERMINATION OF THE SURGİCAL PATIENTS’ SATISFACTIONS REGARDING NURSİNG CARE This study was conducted as a descriptive study to determine the surgery patients’ satisfactions regarding nursing. The study population was composed of the patients undergoing surgical intervention in a private hospital located within the boundaries of province of Kocaeli. 191 patients ≥ 18 years were included into the study sampling. The data in the research was collected by using individual characteristics form and Newcastle Satisfaction with Nursing Scale scores consisting 19 questions. One-way Anova and Student t test and percentage distributions were used for evaluation of the results. At the end of research it was found that 53.4 % of the patients’ ages were between 18-39 years, 60.7 % of the patients were male, 39.8 % of the patients’ educations were university degree, 18.8 % of the patients were housewives and 80.1 % of the patients were married. The mean satisfaction level regarding nursing was found to be 87.77 ± 12.96 It was determined that highest satisfaction was from “respects of the nurses on privacy” and the lowest satisfaction was from “being informed satisfactorily by the nurses about your condition and your treatment”. These results show that the surgical patients are generally satisfied from the care they receive.
