Türkiye Sineması’nda LGBTI bireylerinin temsili ve nefret söylemi

Abstract

Türkiye’de görünürlükleri giderek artan LGBTI bireyleri, medya ve sinema alanında çoğunlukla nefret söylemleriyle temsil edilmektedir. Bu temsilde, toplumun heteronormatif yapısı ve homofobik görüşü etken unsurlardır. Türkiye Sineması’nda LGBTI konulu filmler varlığını ilk olarak 1960’lı yıllarda hissettirmeye başlamış, 1990’larla birlikte sayısını giderek arttırmıştır. 1960’lardan günümüze süregelen zaman içerisinde ortaya çıkan LGBTI bireylerle ilgili filmlerde, LGBTI bireylerine yönelik stereotipleştirmelere başvurulması ile yaratılan temsillerin heteroseksist söylem ve homofobik ön yargıların yeniden üretilmesine neden olup olmadığı konusunda yeniden gözden geçirilmesine gereksinim vardır. Medyada temsillerin üretilmesinde nefret söyleminin geçerliliği, LGBTI bireylerinin sinemadaki temsillerini irdelerken de önemli bir kavram olarak karşımıza çıkmaktadır. Individuals of LGBTI who are ever increasingly getting vissible are generally represented by hate speech in media and cinema fields. In this representation, heteronormative structure and homophobic point of view of the society are main considerations. LGBTI themed movies firstly became effective at 1960s. After 1990s the number of relevant movies gradually increased. In LGBTI individual related movies since 1960s, it is required to reexamine if the representations created by stereotyping towards LGBTI individuals caused to reproduce heteronormative structure and homophobic point of view of the society. Effectualness of hate speech when producing representations in mass media appears as an important concept when researching the LGBTI individuals in movie representations. This study aims to analyze the representation of LGBTI individuals in Turkish Cinema and the reasons of hate speech against LGBTI individuals and to study the progress of hate speech in time.
