Publication: Halide Edip Adıvar’ ın talim ve terbiye kitabında ve çocukluk dönemini anlatan kitaplarında din motifleri ve din eğitimi (Mor Salkımlı Ev)
Abstract
TEZ ÖZETİ II. Meşrutiyet ve Cumhuriyet dönemi Türk kadın yazarı ve romancısı olan Halide Edip Adıvar, 1884'te İstanbul'da doğmuş, 1964'te İstanbul'da ölmüştür. Çok yönlü kişiliği olan Halide Edip, daha çok romancı kişiliğiyle tanınır. Çeşitli yönleriyle bir döneme damgasını vuran Halide Edip, eğitimci yönüyle de bizlere ışık tutmuştur. Bu çalışmada Halide Edib'in eserlerini bir Edebiyatçı olarak değil, bir Din Eğitimcisi gözüyle irdelemeye gayret ettik. Halide Edib'in bir eğitimci olarak ihtiyaca binaen yazdığı, fakat daha sonra sistemli bir hale getirip kitaplaştırdığı Talim ve Terbiye adlı eserini bütün yönleriyle inceledik. Horn adlı bir yazarın Öğretim Bilimlerinin Psikolojik Esasları adlı eseri ona bu konuda kaynaklık etmiştir. Halide Edib Adıvar'ın eğitim-öğretimde değindiği ana nokta ve hususlar, yıllardan beri eğitimcilerin tartışa geldiği fikirlerden çok farklı değildir. Öncelikle Tarihin eğitim ve öğretimle ilgili münasebetlerini ele almış ve bu başlık altında eğitim ve öğretime lazım olan şeyler, eğitim ve öğretimim gayeleri, öğretimin unsurları muallimde bulunması gereken vasıflar, ilm-i ruhun ilm-i talime olan faydaları, zihni ve hissi terbiye, ahlaki terbiyenin manası ve gayesi vs. gibi konuları işlemiştir. Yazarımız bu eserinde geçmişten gelen eğitimle ilgili bozukluklara dikkati çekmiş ve bunların çözüm yollarını ortaya koymaya çalışmıştır. Halide Edib'in çocukluk dönemi anılarındaki dini motifler ve din eğitimine ilişkin verilen örnekler daha ziyade Mor Salkımlı Ev adlı eserinde yoğunlaşmıştır. Günümüz eğitimine de ışık tutacak o dönemdeki din ve din eğitimi anlayışını onun yorumlarıyla aktardık. Halide Edibin çocukluk dönemindeki okula başlama merasimi, eğitim sisteminde dayağın yeri, körü körüne ezberlemekten ziyade manasını bilerek öğrenmenin önemi dikkat çektiğimiz konulardır.Onun çocukluk anılarındaki eğitime ve özellikle din eğitimine ilişkin görüşleri adeta bir döneme ışık tutacak değerdedir. Halide Edip Adıvar, a Turkish writer and novelist in the period of the Second Constitutional and Republic was born in Istanbul in 1884 and died in 1964 in the same city. Halide Edip, although she showed multipersonality in many areas, is known more as a novelist. As she influenced lots of fields, she also left her mark on the field of education. In this thesis we were trying to research Halide Edip's publications Not by an eye of litterature but by that of educator. We also researched 'Talim ve Terbiye' (Instruction and Education), which Halide wrote at first relying on the need of an educator, then published it as a book with more systematical structure. This book was used as a main source of Horn's book- 'Ögretim Bilimlerinin Psikolojik Esasları' (The Psychological Basics of Education Sciences) As a matter of fact, the subjects of Halide on the area of education are not much different with the vievs that educators have argued since several years ago. First of all, she touched the relations betwen history and education, then based on this relations she researched the subjects like the purpose and the various sources of education, characteristics for a teacher, benefits of the psychology, entellectual and emotional teaching, the purpose of moral education, and so on. The purpose of this study is to bring to light to offer a solution for the problems that have been found in the field of the educatıon ın the past. 'Mor Salkımlı Ev' (House Hidden Purple) of her works concentrates of the religious motives and the examples related to the religious education in he childhood with the views of Halide Edib, and we believe that it can light the way for the present education field. The facal points of this papaer are such as the formal procedures of the beginning for the School, its relying on the system of ecicaton, the important of a teacher on the childhood. The viewpoints of her related to ecucaytion and especially religious educations in te,he childhood ara worth enough to light tha way for a period.
