1914’lerden 1940’lara Türk resimi ve romanında gerçekçilik

Abstract

Devlet yapısında ve kurumlarında, kuruluşundan itibaren gerçekleştirilen sayısız değişikliği içeren “Osmanlı Modernleşmesi”, uzun ve sancılı bir süreçtir. Tanzimat’tan sonra hız kazanan bu süreçte Osmanlı toplumu, yöneticisinden aydınına, giyim kuşamından yaşama alışkanlıklarına, düşünme ve algılama biçimlerinden sanatına kadar kendisini ve hayatını yapan her şeyi, yenileyerek dönüştürmeyi başarmıştır. Askeri, siyasal, sosyal ve kültürel alanları içeren bu dönüşümün sanata yansıyan yönünü “1914’lerden 1940’lara Türk Resmi ve Romanında Gerçekçilik” adı altında incelemeye çalıştım. Bunu yaparken, çalışmamın giriş kısmında, konunun çerçevesini çizerek önemi ve niteliği ile beni bu çalışmaya iten nedenleri açıkladım. Daha sonra, “Yüzyıl Başlarında Siyasal ve Sosyal Durum” başlığı altında, söz konusu değişim ve yenilenmeyi “Tanzimat Dönemi’nden 1. Dünya Savaşı’na” uzanan süreçte ele aldım. Konunun tabanını oluşturan “Kültürel Ortam ve Güzel Sanatlar” bölümünde, Osmanlı toplumunun geçirdiği evrimi ve zihniyet dünyasındaki değişimi, “Dönemine Tanıklık Eden Edebiyat” başlığıyla dönemin romanlarına bakarak edebiyat zemininde araştırdım. Bu değişimin Türk resmine düşen payını “Ressam ve Zamanı”na ayna tutarak yansıtmaya çalıştım. Çalışmamın asıl ağırlığını oluşturan “1914-1940 Arası Gerçekçi Diyalogda Resim-Roman” bölümünde “II. Meşrutiyet’ten Cumhuriyet’e” sanatta ve sanat anlayışında görülen değişimi, sözü edilen dönemin romanları ve ressamları vasıtasıyla somutlaştırdım. “Resimde Yeni Yaklaşımlar”, Türk ressamının edindiği her tecrübede karşılaştığı zorlukların da hikâyesini oluşturdu. Çalışmamın son bölümünde “Cumhuriyet Dönemi”ni gene romanlar ve ressamlara başvurarak inceledim. Çalışmamın kapsamı dışında kalmakla birlikte, Türk resminin 1940’lı yıllardan sonraki seyri hakkında da kısaca bilgi vermeye çalıştım.

“Ottoman Modernization” includes many changes in the state structure and its institutions since its foundation was a long and painful period. Otoman public from its governers to intellectuals has achieved the transformation of their traditions, clothing, way of thinking and perception of its art and everything making their life after Tanzimat. I have tried to examine the reflection of theis transformation which covers military, political and social areas to art under the title of “The Realism in the Turkish Painting and Novel from 1914’s to 1940’s.” I have also explained the reasons pushing me to make this study and its importance in the introduction section by outlining the frame. Afterwards, under the title of “Political and Social Status in the Begining of the Century” I have clarified the mentioned transformation and reformation from “Tanzimat Period to I. World War.” In the “Cultural Atmosphere and Fine Arts” section I have examined the evolution and alteration in one’s intellect world under the title of “Literature Witnessing Those Periods” by taking into consideration the novels of that time. Holding a mirror to the “Turkish Painters and Their Periods” I have tried reflecting the portion that befalls on Turkish painting. I have clarified the change in art and its understanding “From II. Meşrutiyet to Republic” in the section of “Painting-Novel in the Realistic Dialogue Between 1914 and 1940” which is the main part of this study. “New Approaches in Painting” constitute the story of difficulties in the new experiences of Turkish painters. Once again taking into hand painters and novels I have examined the “Rebuplic Period” in the last section of the study. Eventhough it is the out of scope of the study, I have briefly summarized Turkish painting after 1940’s.
