Publication: Nesturî Metropolit Nusaybinli İliya'nın monoteist teslis anlayışı
Abstract
Elias of Nisibis (975-1046) is a Nestorian thinker who stands out with his works and theological discourses among Eastern Christians in the 11th century. In the context of the Trinity doctrine, Iliya draws attention with his discourse of monotheist Christianity, which he built on the basis of the one substance-three hypostasis formulation and tried to consolidate it with the arguments of the Islamic tradition. This thesis aims to reveal his views on the doctrines of the Trinity, Christology and Incarnation, which he dealt with in the context of monotheistic Christianity.
