Türkiye sosyalist hareketinde Dr. Hikmet Kıvılcımlı’nın yeri: tarih tezi ve din yorumu

Abstract

Bu çalışma, Türkiye siyasi düşünce tarihinin ve sosyalist hareketinin en önemli düşünürlerinden biri olan Dr. Hikmet Kıvılcımlı’yı (1902-1971) bir entelektüel olarak incelemeyi ve anlamayı amaçlamaktadır. Çalışma kapsamında, Kıvılcımlı’nın bir entelektüel olarak sayılıp sayılamayacağı, Türkiye sosyalist hareketinde nasıl konumlandırıldığı ve sosyalist teoriye ne gibi katkıları olduğu sorularına cevap aranmıştır. Bu sorulara cevap bulabilmek amacıyla öncelikle entelektüel kavramıyla ne ifade edildiği ele alınmıştır. Daha sonra Kıvılcımlı’nın teorik çalışmalarının temelini oluşturan tarih tezi ve din yorumu incelenmiştir. Eleştirelliği, orijinalliği ve üretkenliği bağlamında Kıvılcımlı’nın, Türkiye sosyalist hareketi içerisindeki en özgün ve üretken entelektüellerden biri olduğu sonucuna varılmıştır. Kıvılcımlı yerli bir sosyalizm dili inşa etmeye çalışmıştır ve bu anlamda bilgiyi sadece alan değil aynı zamanda üreten bir entelektüeldir. Türkiye sosyalist hareketi içerisinde bu kadar özgün bir yeri olan Kıvılcımlı’nın çalışmalarının bilimsel olarak daha fazla akademik çalışmaya konu edilmesi gerekmektedir.

This thesis aims to analyze and to understand Dr. Hikmet Kıvılcımlı (1902-1971) who is one of the most important thinkers in the history of political thought and socialist movement of Turkey, as an intellectual. Within the scope of the study, answers were sought for the questions like if Kıvılcımlı can be considered as an intellectual or not, how he is positioned in the socialist movement of Turkey and what he contributed to the socialist theory. To find answers to these questions, firstly concept of intellectual was discussed. Then his Thesis of History and interpretation of religion, which are the basis of Kıvılcımlı's theoretical studies, were examined. It was concluded that in the context of criticality, originality, and reproductivity, Kıvılcımlı is one of the most original and generic intellectuals in the Turkish socialist movement. Kıvılcımlı has tried to build a language of indigenous socialism, and in this sense, he is an intellectual who produces knowledge in addition to getting knowledge. Kıvılcımlı has a unique place in Turkish socialist movement and he should be subject to more academic works.
