Abstract
Bu araştırmada, Müzik Eğitimi Anabilim Dalı öğrencilerinin_x000D_
duygusal zekâ (DZ) ve eleştirel düşünme eğilimleri (EDE) ile alt_x000D_
boyutları arasındaki ilişki incelenmiştir. Tarama modelli olan bu_x000D_
araştırma, 6 farklı üniversiteden rastgele seçilmiş Müzik Eğitimi_x000D_
Anabilim Dalı son sınıfta öğrenim gören toplam 204 öğrenci ile_x000D_
gerçekleşmiştir. Araştırmada DZ’ yi belirlemek amacıyla,_x000D_
Türkçeye uyarlamasını Saltukoğlu, Tatar ve Tok’un yaptığı 41_x000D_
maddelik “Schutte Duygusal (Gözden Geçirilmiş) Zekâ Ölçeği”,_x000D_
EDE’ yi saptamak üzere, Türkçeye uyarlamasını Kökdemir’in_x000D_
yaptığı 51 maddelik “California Eleştirel Düşünme Eğilimi_x000D_
Ölçeği”, demografik özellikleri belirlemek üzere araştırmacı_x000D_
tarafından yapılan 10 maddelik “Kişisel Bilgi Formu”_x000D_
kullanılmıştır. Veri analizinde, frekans, yüzde dağılım, t-testi,_x000D_
Mann-Whitney U testi, post-hoc Scheffe testi, post-hoc MannWhitney U testi, Pearson Korelasyon Katsayısı değerleri_x000D_
alınmıştır. Elde edilen bulgulara göre, genel EDE düzeyi ile genel_x000D_
DZ düzeyi arasında “orta” güçlükte, anlamlı ve pozitif bir ilişki_x000D_
olduğu saptanmıştır. Müzik öğretmeni adaylarının, EDE_x000D_
düzeyleri ile ilgili demografik özelliklerinin öğrencilerin yaşı,_x000D_
mezun oldukları lise ve DZ ile ilgili bilgi düzeyi açısından anlamlı_x000D_
farklılaşmaya neden olduğu, cinsiyet açısından ise kısmen veya_x000D_
tamamen anlamlı bir farklılaşmaya neden olmadığı sonucuna_x000D_
ulaşılmıştır.
In this study, the relationship between emotional intelligence and_x000D_ critical thinking trends of music education students and their_x000D_ lower dimensions was examined. The research in which screening_x000D_ model was used was conducted with a total of 204 students who_x000D_ were randomly selected from 6 different universities in the last_x000D_ year of the Department of music education. The 41-item “Schutte_x000D_ emotional (revised) Intelligence Scale”, adapted to Turkish by_x000D_ Saltukoglu, Tatar and Tok, and the 51-item “California critical_x000D_ thinking trend scale”, adapted to Turkish by Kokdemir, were used_x000D_ to determine emotional intelligence, and the 10-item “Personal_x000D_ Data Form” developed by the researcher was used to determine_x000D_ demographic characteristics. Data analysis frequency, percentage_x000D_ distribution, t-test, Mann-Whitney U-test, post-hoc Scheffe test_x000D_ post-hoc Mann-Whitney U test, Pearson correlation coefficient_x000D_ values were taken. According to the findings, there was a_x000D_ significant and positive association between the general level of_x000D_ critical thinking and the general level of emotional intelligence_x000D_ with “moderate” difficulty. It is concluded that he demographic_x000D_ characteristics of the music teacher candidates related to the EDE_x000D_ levels caused a significant difference in terms of the age of the_x000D_ students, the high school they graduated from and the level of_x000D_ knowledge about DZ, but did not cause a partially or completely_x000D_ significant difference in terms of gender.
