İNSAN HAKLARI, YURTTAŞLIK VE DEMOKRASİ DERSİ ÖĞRETMEN ÖZ-YETERLİK İNANCI ÖLÇEĞİ GELİŞTİRME ÇALIŞMASI

Abstract

Bu çalışmanın amacı, sınıf öğretmenlerinin İnsan Hakları, Yurttaşlık ve Demokrasi (İHYD) dersine ilişkin öz-yeterlik inançlarını saptamada kullanılacak geçerli ve güvenilir bir ölçek geliştirmektir. Çalışma kapsamında alanyazın taraması sonucunda sınıf öğretmenlerinin İHYD dersinin öğretimine ilişkin öz-yeterlik inançlarının göstergesi olduğu düşünülen 47 madde üretilmiş; uzman görüşlerinden sonra madde sayısı 36’ya indirilerek son şekli verilmiştir. 36 madde ölçek formu ile 200 sınıf öğretmeninden veriler toplanmıştır. Yapılan KMO Testi (0.96) ve Barlett Testi (p˂0.05) verilerin açımlayıcı faktör analizine uygun ve ölçeği oluşturan maddelerin ilişki düzeyinin yeterli olduğunu göstermiştir. Yapı geçerliğini saptamak için yapılan açımlayıcı faktör analizi sonucunda ölçeğin dört faktörlü bir yapıdan oluştuğu saptanmıştır. Faktör isimleri sırasıyla şöyledir; “Planlama ve Hazırlık”, “İçerik ve Süreç”, “Değerlendirme ve Paydaş İşbirliği”, “Değer Kazandırma”. Ortaya çıkan dört faktörün, sınıf öğretmenlerinin İHYD dersi öğretimine ilişkin öz-yeterlik inançlarındaki değişimin %73.79’ünü açıkladığı belirlenmiştir. Ayrıca, ölçeği oluşturan maddelerin tümünün, bir faktör altındaki maddelerin ve faktörlerin kendi aralarındaki iç tutarlıklarının (güvenirlik) da yeterli olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Ek olarak, faktörlerin kendi aralarındaki ve ölçeğin bütünüyle olan ilişkisi de iyi durumdadır. Doğrulayıcı faktör analiziyle de, ölçeğin bütününden elde edilen dört faktörlü yapı tekrar sınanmış ve aynı sonuçlar bulunmuştur. Sonuç olarak, ölçeğin sınıf öğretmenlerinin İHYD Dersine ilişkin özyeterlik inanç düzeylerini ortaya çıkarabilecek psikometrik özelliklere sahip olduğuna karar verilmiştir.

The aim of this study is to develop a valid and reliable scale that will be used to determine the class teachers’ self-efficacy beliefs about Human Rights, Citizenship and Democracy course (İHYD). As a result of the literature review carried out within the scope of the study, 47 items were produced which are considered as the indicators of the self-efficacy beliefs of the class teachers about IHYD course; following the expert opinions, the number of items was reduced to 36 and finalized. Data were collected from 200 class teachers with the 36-item scale form. The KMO Test (0.962) and Barlett Test (p˂0.05) showed that sampling is adequate for exploratory factor analysis and the level of relationship of the items was sufficient. As a result of the exploratory factor analysis conducted to determine the construct validity, the scale was found to consist of a fourfactor structure. Factor names are respectively as follows; “Planning and Preparation”, “Content and Process”, “Evaluation and Stakeholder Cooperation”, “Value-added”. It was determined that 73.793% of the variance was explained by four factors in the self-efficacy beliefs of the class teachers about the teaching of IHYD. In addition, it was determined that the internal consistency (reliability) of all the items in the scale, the items under each factor and among factors were sufficient. Moreover, the relationship between the factors and their relationship with the whole scale is good. With the confirmatory factor analysis, the four-factor structure was re-tested and the same results were obtained. As a result, it was decided that the scale has psychometric properties that could reveal the self-efficacy belief levels of class teachers for IHYD course._x000D_
