Publication: Astım hastalarının yaşadıkları ortamlardaki fungal floranın astım hastalığıyla ilişkisinin belirlenmesi
Abstract
ASTIM HASTALARININ YAŞADIKLARI ORTAMLARDAKİ FUNGAL FLORANIN ASTIM HASTALIĞIYLA İLİŞKİSİNİN BELİRLENMESİ Bu çalışma Şubat 2014 ile Ocak 2015 arasında yapılmıştır. Çalışmada İstanbul’un 14 farklı bölgesinin (Ataşehir, Bulgurlu, Fikirtepe, Hasanpaşa, İçerenköy, Moda, Göztepe, Çekmeköy, Ümraniye, Altayçeşme Mahallesi, Esenkent Mahallesi, Feyzullah Mahallesi, Gülsuyu Mahallesi, Yalı Mahallesi) 55 astım hastasının evlerinin fungal florasının belirlenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Örnekler belirtilen bölgelerdeki astım hastalarının evlerinde yerden 75-85 cm yükseklikte Streptomisin eklenmiş Rose Bengalli Patates Dekstroz Agar’ın havayı vakumlama özelliğine sahip Biomerieux Air Ideal cihazının yuvasına yerleştirilip hava filtresinin takılıp 3-5 dakika cihazın çalıştırılarak ortamdaki 200 litre havayı çekmesi sağlanarak alınmıştır. Araştırmada toplam 1071 fungus kolonisi izole edilerek inceleme altına alınmıştır. 11 cinse ait 23 tür izole edilmiştir. Elde edilen cinsler Alternaria, Aspergillus, Aureobasidium, Chaetomium, Cladosporium, Fusarium, Mucor, Paecilomyces, Penicillium, Rhizopus, Ulocladium’dur. Bunların içerisinde en fazla izole edilen cinsler; Penicillium, Cladosporium, Fusarium, Aspergillus, ve Alternaria olmuştur. Bu çalışmada en fazla izole edilen türler; Penicillium brevicompactum, Penicillium glabrum, Cladosporium cladosporioides, Cladosporium sphaerospermum, Cladosporium macrocarpum, Aspergillus niger, Fusarium poae ve Alternaria alternata olmuştur. Cladosporium en fazla Şubat, Mart, Nisan, Mayıs, Kasım’da; Penicillium en fazla Şubat, Mart, Nisan’da; Aspergillus en fazla Şubat, Nisan, Mayıs, Ekim, Kasım’da; Fusarium en fazla Şubat, Mart, Nisan, Mayıs’da; Alternaria en fazla Şubat ve Mayıs aylarında yüksek miktarlarda izole edilmişlerdir. Tüm bu aylar boyunca en az fungus konsantrasyonu Ocak ayında, en fazla ise Mayıs ayında görülmüştür. Çalışma süresince örneklem alanlarının termometre ile sıcaklığı, higrometre ile nem oranlarının ölçümleri gerçekleştirilmiştir. Bu çalışmada astım hastalığının başlamasına ya da hastalık derecesinin ilerlemesine neden olan allerjen mikrofungus türleri belirtilmiştir. Bunlar; Alternaria alternata, Aspergillus fumigatus, Aspergillus niger, Aureobasidium pullulans, Chaetomium globosum, Cladosporium cladosporioides, Cladosporium herbarum, Cladosporium sphaerospermum, Penicillium chrysogenum, Penicillium glabrum olarak tespit edilmiştir.
DETERMINATION OF THE CONNECTION BETWEEN THE ASTHMA PATIENTS AND FUNGAL FLORA IN THE ENVIRONMENT THEY LIVE IN This study was connected between February 2014 and January 2015. The main aim of this study was to determine the fungal flora at 55 asthma patients’ houses located at 14 different locations in İstanbul (Ataşehir, Bulgurlu, Fikirtepe, Hasanpaşa, İçerenköy, Moda, Göztepe, Çekmeköy, Ümraniye, Altayçeşme, Esenkent, Feyzullah, Gülsuyu and Yalı districts). Samples were collected at 75-85 cm height from the floor from asthmatic patients’ houses in the specified regions with air vacuuming device Biomerieux Air Ideal by using of an air filter and placing the housing onto streptomycin added Rose Bengal Potatoes Dextrose Agar plates for 3 to 5 minutes. The unit has been providing 200 liters of air to draw in the running environment. In this study totally 1071 fungal colonies belonging to 23 species and 11 genera were isolated and taken under review. Samples of Alternaria, Aspergillus, Aureobasidium, Chaetomium, Cladosporium, Fusarium, Mucor, Paecilomyces, Penicillium, Rhizopus, Ulocladium genera were isolated. The most commonly isolated genera are Penicillium, Cladosporium, Fusarium, Aspergillus and Alternaria and the most isolated species are Penicillium brevicompactum, Penicillium glabrum, Cladosporium cladosporioides, Cladosporium sphaerospermum, Cladosporium macrocarpum, Aspergillus niger, Fusarium poae and Alternaria alternata. The maximum number of Cladosporium species were isolated at February, March, April, May and November; Penicillium species at February, March and April. Most of Aspergillus species were isolated at February, April, May, October and November; Fusarium’s maximum was at February, March, April and May. Maximum number of Alternaria species were isolated at February and May. During the study, the minimal concentration of isolated fungi was at January and reached his maximum at May. Constant temperature and humidity measurements with termometer and hygrometer relatively were performed at sample collection sites. Allergen microfungi species causing the outset or progression of asthma were indicated in this study. The indentified species are Alternaria alternata, Aspergillus fumigatus, Aspergillus niger, Aureobasidium pullulans, Chaetomium globosum, Cladosporium cladosporioides, Cladosporium herbarum, Cladosporium sphaerospermum, Penicillium chrysogenum, Penicillium glabrum.
