Publication: Hemşirenin hasta eğitimindeki rolüne yönelik hastaların görüşleri
Abstract
Araştırma; kardiyovasküler cerrahi operasyonu geçirmiş hastaların bilgilendirilme durumlarını ve hemşirenin hasta eğitimindeki rolüne yönelik görüşlerini belirlemek amacıyla yapıldı. Örneklemi, 148 hasta oluşturdu. Veriler, anket formuyla toplandı. Hastaların %65’i erkek, %86’sı evli, %57’si ilköğretim mezunu, %43’ü serbest meslek sahibi, yaş ortalaması 56.6 idi. Hastaların yarısından fazlasının bypass ameliyatı olduğu ve yatış süresinin ortalama 10 gün olduğu belirlendi. Hastaların tamamına yakını, hastalıkları hakkında bilgilendirildiğini belirtti. Hastaların en fazla doktorlar tarafından bilgilendirildiği, bunu hemşirelerin izlediği belirlendi. Hastalar; en fazla ameliyat süreci, ameliyat günü yapılacaklar, ayağa kalkma, göğüs kemiğinin korunması konularında, sözlü olarak ve broşür verilerek bilgilendirildi. Hastalar; hasta eğitimlerinde sırasıyla doktor, hastaya bakan hemşire ve eğitim hemşiresinin rol almasını istedi. Hastaların yarısından fazlası, hemşirelerin verdiği bilgileri yeterli buldu, çoğu hemşirelerin ilgisinden memnun kaldı. Hastaların tamamına yakını, hastanede özel bir eğitim hemşiresinin olmasını gerekli buldu.
Survey is performed to investigate informed condition of cardiovascular surgery operation patients and their ideas about nurse’s role of patient education. Study sampling is composed of 148 patients. Data is obtained by an inquiry form. 65% of patient are male, 86% are married, 57% are graduated from secondary school, 43% are self-employed, the average age is 56,6. More half of them had bypass operation and the average hospitalization duration is 10 days. Approximately total amount of patients implied that they were informed about their illnesses. Patients are informed mostly by doctors, nurses are following them. Patients are informed mostly about operation period, actions on operation day, stand up and prevention of sternum. Patients are informed mostly in verbal and by brochures. Patients think about that doctor, nurse and patient educator should take more roles in patient’s education. More half of them found the information given by nurses adequate and most of them are satisfied by nurses’ relation. Approximately total patients think about that an executive educator nurse is necessary in hospital.
