Publication: Suç filmleri bağlamında yeniden çevrimlerin görsel analizi
Abstract
Film üretiminde kullanılan önemli kaynaklardan biri de uyarlamadır. Sinemanın ilk yıllarından beri müzikal, tiyatro, roman gibi birçok farklı türde eser sinemaya uyarlanmaktadır. Yeniden çevrim bir uyarlama biçimidir. Yeniden çevrim, var olan bir filmin yeniden üretilmesini tanımlayan bir kavramdır. Yeniden çevrim filmler sinemanın ilk yıllarından beri birçok ulusal sinemada görülmektedir. Fakat yeniden çevrimler son kırk yılda Hollywood egemenliği altına girmiştir. Bu çalışmanın amacı, yeniden çevrim kavramının ne anlama geldiğini ve hangi filmleri kapsadığını belirlemek, var olan bir filmin yeniden üretilmesinin nedenlerini ortaya koymak, yeniden çevrim filmler arasındaki değişimleri dönemsel olarak tespit etmek, yeniden çevrimlerin seyirciye cazip gelen yönlerini saptamaya çalışmaktır. Bu çalışmada, Hollywood sinemasında yapılan yeniden çevrimler incelenmiştir. Hollywood tür filmleri üzerine kurulmuş bir sinemadır. Bu çalışmanın kapsamı, Hollywood sinemasında suç türünde yapılan yeniden çevrimler ile sınırlandırılmıştır. Çalışma, yalnızca yeniden çevrimleri değil aynı zamanda suç türünün gelişimini de ele almaktadır. Ayrıca görsel analiz yöntemlerinden biri olan mizansen analiz yöntemi ile örneklem olarak ele alınan suç türündeki yeniden çevrimlerin suç unsurları tespit edilerek analizi yapılmıştır
Adaptation could be regarded as one of the important sources of film production. From the very beginning of the twentieth century, many different kinds of genres such as musical, theatre and novel have been adapted to cinema. Remake is a form of adaptation and it’s a concept that defines the reproduction of an existing film. Since the early years of cinema remakes have been widely used in various movies from all over the world. However remakes have been mostly produced by Hollywood in the last forty years.The purpose of this study is to define the remake concept and to outline the films it includes, to put forth the reasons on why to reproduce an already existing film, to determine the differences between the remake films from different eras and try to find out the charm of remakes for the audience. In this study, remakes which produced by Hollywood were examined. Hollywood is based on the genre. The extent of this study is limited to remake of crime movies in the Hollywood cinema. The study has not only examined remakes but also the development of the crime genre. The crime elements were determined in the remakes of crime movies with mise-en-scene analysis method which is one of the visual analysis methods
