Publication: Kadın takım sporcularının cinsel yönelimler konusunda tutumları
Abstract
Bu çalışma kadın takım sporcularının LGBTİ bireylere yönelik görüşlerini ve homofobi düzeylerini belirlemek amacıyla yapılmıştır. Araştırmanın örneklemini Türkiye’deki 18 yaş üzerinde ve araştırmaya katılmayı kabul eden 108 kadın takım sporcusu oluşturmuştur. Araştırmanın örnekleminin belirlenmesinde olasılığa dayalı olmayan (yargısal) örneklem yöntemlerinden amaçsal (monografik) örneklem yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın verileri, sosyo-demografik özellikli sorular bulunan kişisel bilgi formu, ardından bireylerin lezbiyen ve geylere yönelik tutumlarını belirlemek amacıyla Lezbiyen ve Geylere Yönelik Tutum (LGYT) Ölçeği, üçüncü bölümde ise Hudson ve Ricketts Homofobi Ölçeği (HRHÖ) kulllanılmıştır. Araştırmada bir durum ya da olaya ilişkin katılımcıların tutumlarını belirlemeyi amaçlayan ilişkisel tarama modeli kullanılmıştır.Araştırmada elde edilen verilerin analizinde, ortalama ve standart sapma, frekans ve yüzde değerler kullanılmıştır. Betimsel istatistik ve branşlar arası farklılıkları test etmek amacıyla ANOVA testleri yapılmıştır. Sonuçlar istatistiksel anlamlılık açısından p<0.05 düzeyinde değerlendirilmiştir. Sporcuların %8,3’ü basketbolcu, %39,8’i futbolcu, %13’ü hentbolcu, %38,9’u voleybolcudur. Sporcuların Lezbiyen ve Geylere Yönelik Tutum ölçek puan ortalaması 25.55, homofobi puanı ise 61,51’dir.Sonuç olarak sporcuların LGBTİ bireyler hakkında bilgi eksikliklerinin giderilmesi için eğitim programlarının yapılması önerilmektedir
This study was conducted to determine the attitudes towards gays and lesbians and homophobia level. The sample of the study consisted of 108 female athletes over the age of 18 who live in Turkey and accepted to participate in the study. In the determination of the sample of the study, one of the (critical) sampling methods, which are not based on probability, was used as a monographic sampling method. The data of the study consisted of the ''Personal Information Form'' which includes questions about the socio-demographic characteristics of the athletes and the opinions of the homosexuals were collected in order to determine the attitudes of the athletes towards lesbians and gays by using '' Attitudes Towards Lesbian and Gays (LGYT) Scale '', and to determine the level of homophobia of teaching members with '' Hudson and Ricketts Homophobia Scale ''.In the analysis of the data obtained in the research, median (X) and standard deviation (SD), frequency and percent values were used. Anova tests were conducted to test the differences between descriptive statistics and branches. The results were evaluated at p <0.05 level for statistical significance. 8.3% of the athletes are basketball, 39.8% are football, 13% are handball, 38.9% are volleyball players. The mean score of the athletes' attitude towards lesbian and gays is 25.55, homophobia score is 61,51.As a result, it is recommended that athletes take training programs for the elimination of information deficiencies about LGBTI people.
