Sosyal medyada dezenformasyon

Abstract

İçinde bulunduğumuz çağda bilgi ve iletişim teknolojilerinde yaşanan çok hızlı gelişmeler hayatın her alanında etkisini göstermektedir. Özellikle bilgiye erişim konusunda bahse konu teknolojilerin çok büyük faydalar sağladığı görülmektedir. Ancak bilgiye erişimin kolay olması, dezenformasyona da ortam açıyor. Bu bağlamda sosyal medya ortamlarında yanlış bilgilerin sıklıkla yayıldığı görülmektedir. Bu çalışmada sosyal medya platformlarında karşılaşılan dezenformasyon örneklerinin incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Bu kapsamda gerek Türkiye’de ve gerekse sosyal medyada yapılmış olan dezenformasyon örnekleri analiz edilmiştir. Çalışma sonucunda sosyal medya ortamlarının dezenformasyona elverişli kaotik bir ortama sahip olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Söz konusu dezenformasyondan korunmak maksadıyla gerek teknolojik önlemlerinin alınmasının ve teyit etme mekanizmalarının önemli olduğu görülmüştür.

The rapid developments in information and communication technologies in our age show their effects in all areas of human life. Particularly in terms of access to information, it is seen that these technologies provide great benefits. However, easy access to information opens the door to disinformation. In this context, it is seen that false information is frequently spread in social media environments. In this study, it is aimed to examine the disinformation samples encountered in social media platforms. In this context, examples of disinformation in social media which is carried out both in Turkey and in the world are analyzed. As a result of the study, it has been determined that social media environments have a chaotic environment suitable for disinformation. It has been observed that the technological measures taken and the confirmation mechanisms are important to prevent this disinformation.
