Abstract
This study was conducted to be able to analyze the effect of an education program, prepared based upon Brain-Based Leaning Approach, on the creativeness of children 5 years of age. Because of having the aim of determining the effect of an education program which is prepared in accordance with the Brain-Based Learning for pre- school education, it was organized according to pre-test, post-test control group experimentation model. As the study group, 21 students age of five who continue their education in a pre-school education foundation constitute experimental group and 19 students constitute control group. In this experimental study; the pre-school education program prepared in accordance with Brain-Based Learning Approach was produced by researcher. As data collection tool, personal information questionnaire including demographic information and Torrance tests of creative thinking conformational forms A and B were used with the purpose of assessing the creativeness skills.Considering the numbers and variables of the number of study groups, and due to having students less than 30 in experimentation and control groups, while testing the hypothesis, Wilcoxon non parametric techniques were applied. Among the pre-test scores of experimentation and control groups, a significant differentiation wasn’t found. Between pre and post-tests of experimentation groups, the difference was found in favor of post-test. It is thought that applied education program affects the creativeness skills and many sub-dimensions, among the children belongs to experimentation group. A significant difference wasn’t found between pre and post-test of control group. This case confirms that the creativeness skill of the group who hasn’t the education program wasn’t affected. Between the post-test results of experimentation and control groups the difference was found in favor of experimentation group. Under the light of this study, it is though that prepared education program is effective on the development of the creativeness of the children.
