Publication: Simone de Beauvoir'ın edebi eserlerindeki kadın karakterlerin varoluşçu feminist etik bağlamında değerlerlendirilmesi
Abstract
In this study, the female characters in Simone de Beauvoir’s literary works are analyzed within the framework of her existentialist feminist ethical views. Certain characteristics of the female characters depicted in Beauvoir’s texts are classified. By identifying the disadvantaged position of women in society in terms of freedom and transcending existence, which are central concepts in Beauvoir’s philosophy, it is tried to follow the path that will lead women to independence and authenticity through the novel characters in her works. At the same time, in this study, themes such as social and biological gender inequality, the dialectical relationship established with the other, the abject point of view in society are discussed, and Beauvoir’s texts are analyzed as the modern subject's struggle for freedom.
