İŞBİRLİĞİNE DAYALI ÖĞRENMEDE YENİ BİR UYGULAMA: İZCİ TEKNİĞİ

Abstract

Bu araştırmanın amacı araştırmacılar tarafından geliştirilen ve uygulanan izci tekniğinin etkililiğinin değerlendirilmesidir. İzci tekniği, izcilik uygulamasına ilişkin ilkelerin sınıf ortamına uygulanması ile geliştirilmiş olup işbirliğine dayalı öğrenme yöntemi kapsamında ele alınmaktadır. Teknik geliştirildikten sonra ilk uygulaması meslek lisesi büro hizmetleri bölümü onuncu sınıf öğrencileri (N=35) üzerinde, ikinci uygulaması ise ilkokul üçüncü sınıf öğrencileri (N=97) üzerinde yapıldı. Veriler, öğretmenlerle yapılan bireysel ve odak grup görüşmeleri, öğrencilerle yapılan odak grup görüşmeleri ve öntestsontest aracılığıyla elde edildi. Elde edilen bulgulara göre, araştırmacılar tarafından geliştirilen ve uygulaması yapılan izci tekniğinin öğrenmeyi sağlamada, öğrenciler arası iletişimin geliştirilmesinde, öğretmenlerin sınıf yönetimini kolaylaştırmada, akademik görevlerin yerine getirilmesinde, sınıf içi olumsuz davranışların azalmasında, öğretmenlerin öğrencilerle olan iletişiminde destek sağladığı söylenebilir. Bu tekniğin uygulanması ile öğretmenlerin daha kolay ve daha fazla ödev verebilecekleri, öğrencilere rehberlik için daha fazla zamanının kalacağı söylenebilir.

The purpose of this research is to investigate the effect of scouting technique, which was developed and applied by the researchers. Scouting is cooperative learning technique in which the principles of scouting are applied into the classroom. After the scouting technique was developed by the researchers, its first application took place in vocational high school to tenth students (N=35). Secondly, the technique was carried out to third grade students (N=97). The data was collected through individual and focus group teacher interviews, focus group student interviews, pre-- and post--tests. The results indicate that the scouting techniques has positive effects on learning, developing communication among students, facilitating classroom management, fulfilling the academic responsibilities, decreasing the level of misbehaviors in the classroom and supporting teacher--student communication. It is suggested that by using scouting technique, teachers have opportunities to give easy and more homework and spending more time on guidance of students.
