İLKÖĞRETİM 5. SINIF SOSYAL BİLGİLER DERSİ ÖĞRETİMPROGRAMI'NDA YER ALAN TARİHİ KAVRAMLARINKAZANDIRILMA DÜZEYİ

Abstract

Sosyal Bilgiler, sosyal bilimler kapsamına giren disiplinlerin verilerini kullanarak öğrencilere çeşitli bilgi, beceri, değer ve kavramları kazandırmayı amaç edinen ve büyük bir sorumluluk yüklenen öğretim programı olarak dikkatleri üzerine çekmektedir. Bu derste sosyal bilim disiplinlerine ait kavramların öğretilmesi, öğrencilere bu disiplinlere ait temel alt yapının kazandırılması açısından önemlidir. Sosyal Bilgiler dersi içerisinde yer alan ve temel kavramların verilmesi gereken sosyal bilimler disiplinlerinden biri de tarihtir. Bu disiplin sahasında profesyonel ve amatör olarak çalışma yapan araştırmacılar tarihteki olay ve olguları ifade edebilmek için kavramların gücünden faydalanmaktadırlar. Bu kavramlar araştırmacılara hem ifade ve anlatım kolaylığı sağlarken hem de tarih disiplinine ait bilginin inşa edilmesine katkı sağlamaktadırlar. Bundan dolayı 2005'de uygulanmaya başlanan ilköğretim 5. Sınıf Sosyal Bilgiler Dersi Öğretim Programı'nda tavsiye edilen tarih disiplinine ait kavramların kazandırılma düzeyinin ne olduğunun araştırılması yapılan çalışmanın asıl problemini oluşturmaktadır. Araştırma tarama modelinde düzenlenmiştir. Veri toplama aracı olarak daaraştırmacılar tarafından geliştirilen anket formu kullanılmıştır. Anketin hazırlanma sürecinde uzman görüşünden yararlanılmış ve uzman dönütleri doğrultusunda gerekli düzeltmeler yapılmıştır. Anket 2014-2015 eğitim öğretim yılı içerisinde İstanbul'da random usulü ile seçilen Kadıköy, Zeytinburnu ve Ümraniye ilçelerindekitoplam dört ilköğretimde/ortaokulda uygulanmıştır. Uygulama sonucunda elde edilen veriler SPSS 15 paket programı kullanılarak analiz edilmiştir. Analiz sonucunda ulaşılan bilgilere göre, ilköğretim 5. Sınıf Sosyal Bilgiler Dersi Öğretim Programı'nda yer alan tarihi kavramların kazandırılma düzeyi beklenenin/istenilenin oldukça altında kalmış ve bunlardan sadece dört tanesi % 50'nin üzerine çıkabilmiştir. Bundan ötürü; çeşitli değerlendirmelerde bulunulmuştur

Social sciences draw attention as a curriculum which aims to provide various knowledge, skills, values and notions to the students and shoulders the great responsibility by using the data social sciences disciplines. In this course teaching concepts belonging for social science disciplines is important in terms of providing the students the basic infrastructure of these disciplines. The history is one of the social sciences disciplines that takes part in social science course and during which the basic concepts need to be given. Researchers who work in the field of this discipline as an amateur and as a professional benefit from the power of concepts to express notions and events in history. These concepts both provide easiness of expression for researchers and contribute to the construction of knowledge belonging the discipline of history. Therefore, researching the level of gaining concept belonging to history discipline, which has been advised in primary 5th grade Social Sciences Course Education Programme starting to be implemented in 2005, is the main problem of the study. It is organized in the screening model. Questionnaire test was used which has been developed by researchers as data collection tool in the research. During the preparation of the survey with expert advice have been benefitted and the necessary corrections have been made in accordance with expert feedback. The survey has been implemented in a total of four elemantary/middle schools which were selected through a random method in district of Istanbul Ümraniye, Zeytinburnu and Kadıköy in 2014-2015 academic years. Data that were obtained as a result of the application were analyzed by using the statistical program SPSS 15. According to data reached as result of the analysis, the level of gaining historical concepts included in the instructional program of primary 5. Grade Social Sciences fell behind the expected/desired standard and only four of them were able to come up 50%. Hence,there have been the various assessment
