Arşiv belgeleri ışığında yakınçağ döneminde Osmanlı’da yabancıların konser faaliyetleri ve musiki cemiyetleri

Abstract

Bu yüksek lisans tezinde; yakınçağ Osmanlı coğrafyasında yabancıların tertip ettiği ve etmek istediği müzikal faaliyetler ile teşkil ettiği ve etmek istediği musiki cemiyetleri incelenmiştir. Araştırmada, Osmanlı Arşivi vesikaları merkeze alınmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda, konserlerin sadece bir kültür-sanat etkinliği olmadığı aynı zamanda; eğlence, sosyal yardım ve devletler arası dostluk ilişkilerini pekiştirme amacına hizmet ettiği görülmüştür. Bu bağlamda, devlet adamları ile yabancı sanatçılar ve onları himaye eden elçileri arasında yoğun temaslar izlenmiştir. Benzer ilişki, resmi kurumlar ile musiki cemiyeti idarecileri ve üyeleri arasında da görülmüştür. Ancak süreç içerisinde özellikle XIX. yüzyıl sonlarından itibaren konserlerin ve birtakım cemiyetlerin, provokatif gayelerle ayrılıkçı amaçlara hizmet edecek bir paravan gibi kullanılması, Bâbıâli’nin bunlara yaklaşımında değişikliğe sebep olmuştur. Bu sebeple milliyetçi-ayrılıkçı akımlar ve bu yönde faaliyet gösteren kişi ve kurumlar yakından izlenmiş, bunların faaliyetlerini engelleyecek hukuki düzenlemeler yapılmıştır. Nihayet, bölgedeki idareciler ve güvenlik güçlerinin de desteğiyle denetimin ve kontrolün arttırılması yönünde yoğun çaba gösterilmiştir.

In this master’s thesis; the musical activities which were organized, wanted to be organized and the musical groups that were constituted, wanted to be constituted by the foreigners in the modern age Ottoman geography were touched upon. In the study, records of Ottoman Archive were taken to the centre. As a result of the research, it was seen that the concerts were not just a culture-art event; at the same time the concerts served the purposes of entertainment, social assistance and strengthening interstate friendship. In this context, intense contacts were observed between the statesmen, foreign artists and ambassadors protecting them. Similar relationship was seen among the official institutions, the musical group administrators and members. However, especially towards the end of the XIX. century; the use of concerts and certain societies as a screen to serve separatist purposes with provocative goals caused a change in Sublime Porte’s (Bâbıâli) approaching to them. For this reason, nationalist-separatist movements and the people and institutions that operated in this direction were observed closely, legal arrangements were acted to prevent their activities. Finally, intensive efforts were fulfilled to increase supervision and control with the support of administrators and security forces in the region.
