Mekânsal pozlamalar : uyarlanabilir yeniden kullanım kavramına fotografik bir yaklaşım

Abstract

Mekâna ilişkin söylemler, geçmişten günümüze disiplinler arası yaklaşımlarla çeşitlenmiştir. Bu çalışmada mekân söylemlerine bir yenisini eklemek amacıyla disiplinler arası kavramsal bir sorgulamaya başvurulmuş, mekânın bir sanat disiplini olan fotoğrafa ilişkin kavramlarla yeniden tanımlanması hedeflenmiştir. Mekân tasarımına olan yaklaşımlar, günümüze değin farklı dinamiklerin etkisiyle çeşitlenmiş, zamanla farklı yaklaşımlar ortaya çıkmıştır. Çalışma kapsamında mekân tasarlama yaklaşımları, “yeniyi üretme” çabasına “eskiyi dönüştürme” düşüncesiyle alternatif sunan uyarlanabilir yeniden kullanım ile sınırlı tutulmuştur. Çalışmanın yöntemi, mekânın fotoğrafa ilişkin kavramlar üzerinden tanımlanabilmesi için analojik sorgulamalara dayanmaktadır. Analojik sorgulamalar sonucunda fotoğrafın temel kavramlarından olan pozlamanın metaforik kullanımıyla mekânın biçimlendirilmesi, “mekânsal pozlama” söylemine dönüştürülmüştür. Mekânsal pozlama söylemi, mekânsal biçimin zaman izlerini içermesi anlamında, mekân-zaman etkileşiminin “mekânda uzun pozlama”, uyarlanabilir yeniden kullanımda katmanlı mekân biçimlenişinin ise “mekânda çoklu pozlama” olarak kavramsallaşmasıyla çeşitlendirilmiştir. Çalışmada mekâna ilişkin yeni kavramsal söylemler, Hasanpaşa Gazhanesi’nin Müze Gazhane’ye uyarlanması örneği üzerinden incelenmiştir.

The discourses on space have diversified with interdisciplinary approaches from past to present. In this study, in order to add a new one to the discourses of space, an interdisciplinary conceptual enquiry was applied and it was aimed to redefine space with the concepts related to photography, an art discipline. Approaches to space design have diversified under the influence of different dynamics until today, and different approaches have emerged over time. Within the scope of the study, space design approaches are limited to adaptive reuse, which offers an alternative to producing the new with the idea of transforming the old. The method of the study is based on analogical inquiries in order to define space through concepts related to photography. As a result of analogical enquiries, the shaping of space through the metaphorical use of exposure, one of the basic concepts of photography, has been transformed into the discourse of spatial exposure. The discourse of spatial exposure has been diversified by conceptualising the space-time interaction as long exposure in space in the sense that the spatial form contains time traces, and the layered space formation in adaptive reuse as multiple exposure in space. In the study, new conceptual discourses on space are analysed through the example of the adaptation of Hasanpaşa Gazhanesi to the Museum Gazhane.
