Abstract
İNTERNET TABANLI UZAKTAN EĞİTİM PROGRAMLARINDA ÖĞRENME STRATEJİLERİ KULLANIMI Bu çalışma, internet tabanlı uzaktan eğitim programlarında öğrenimlerini sürdüren öğrencilerin öğrenme stratejilerini hangi düzeyde kullandıklarını ve web ortamlarının, öğrencileri, öğrenme stratejilerini kullanmaya ne ölçüde teşvik ettiklerini belirlemek amacıyla gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırma kapsamında, öğrencilerin öğrenme stratejilerini kullanma düzeylerini belirlemek ve web ortamlarını öğrenme stratejileri yaklaşımıyla değerlendirmek için araştırmacı tarafından iki farklı veri toplama aracı geliştirilmiştir. Bu veri toplama araçlarıyla Atılım, Çukurova, Gazi ve İstanbul Aydın üniversitelerinin uzaktan eğitim yoluyla uyguladıkları Bilgisayar Programcılığı önlisans programlarında kullanılan web ortamlarından ve bu programlarda öğrenimlerini sürdüren 273 öğrenciden veri toplanmıştır. Araştırma sonuçlarına göre öğrenciler öğrenme stratejilerini genellikle düzeyinde (2,78 / 4,00) kullanmaktadırlar. Bu kullanım düzeyi yaşa göre farklılık göstermemekle birlikte cinsiyete göre kız öğrenciler lehine ve mezun olunan ortaöğretim okul türüne göre ise mesleki ve teknik lise mezunları lehine anlamlı şekilde farklılaşmaktadır. Öğrencilerin öğrenimlerini sürdürürken kullandıkları web ortamlarının öğrenme stratejileri bakımından sahip oldukları nitelik genellikle düzeyinde (2,81 / 4,00) tespit edilmiştir. Bununla birlikte, uzaktan eğitim web ortamlarının öğrenme stratejileri bakımından sahip oldukları nitelikler ile öğrencilerin öğrenme stratejilerini kullanma düzeyleri arasında anlamlı ilişki gözlenmemiştir. Ayrıca, öğrencilerin öğrenme stratejilerini kullanmaları ile akademik başarıları arasında anlamlı ilişki saptanmıştır.
USAGE OF LEARNING STRATEGIES ON WEB-BASED DISTANCE EDUCATION PROGRAMS This project has aimed to both determine in which degree the learning strategies are used by the students who continue their educations on web-based distance education programs and in what extend the web environment encourage the student to make use of learning strategies. Within this project, two different kinds of data collection tools are enhanced in order to define the stage of students’ usage of learning strategies as well as to evaluate the web environment by the approach of learning strategies. Datas were collected from web environments of Computer Programming associate degree programs of Atılım, Çukurova, Gazi and İstanbul Aydın universities, which are applied as distance education programs, and also two hundreds seventy three students of these universities with the help of the mentioned data collection tools. According to the results of the investigation, the students generally apply their learning strategies (2,78 / 4,00). This degree does not change according to the age condition but change on behalf of female students. With regard to the type of the secondary education schools, there is a significant raise in the graduated students from the vocational high schools. The quality of web environments with respect to learning strategies which are used by the students while continuing their education is assigned as generally (2,81 / 4,00). However, it is not observed as a meaningful relationship with the qualities of distance education web environments and the degree of the students’ usage of learning strategies. Furthermore, the significant relation between the usage of learning strategies and the academic success of the students is assigned.
