Publication: Türk toplumunda manevî zekâ özellikleri, dinî başa çıkma ve ruh sağlığı ilişkisi
Abstract
Bu araştırmanın konusu; Manevî Zekânın depresyon, anksiyete, stres ve hayat memnuniyetiyle olan ilişkisi ve bu ilişkide bireylerin başvurduğu dinî başa çıkma yönelimlerinin aracılık etkisinin incelenmesidir. İlişkisel ve nedensel tarama deseninde yapılandırılan araştırmanın çalışma grubunu; uygun örneklem yöntemiyle belirlenen ve çoğunluğu İstanbul’da yaşayan 18 yaş ve üzeri 726 kişi oluşturmaktadır. Araştırma verileri; sosyo-demografik bilgi formu, Ruhsal Zekâ Özellikleri Ölçeği (RZÖ), Olumlu ve Olumsuz Dinî Başa Çıkma Ölçekleri, Depresyon-Anksiyete-Stres Ölçeği (DASÖ- 21) ve Hayat Memnuniyeti Ölçeklerinin uygulanmasıyla elde edilmiştir. Veriler kodlanarak SPSS 25 ve SPSS 26 programlarıyla çözümlenmiştir. Araştırma sonucunda Manevî Zekâ özellikleri ile olumlu dinî başa çıkma yönelimleri ve hayat memnuniyeti arasında pozitif; depresyon, stres, anksiyete belirtileri arasında negatif yönde ilişki ve etkileşimlerin olduğu belirlenmiştir. Öte yandan olumsuz dinî başa çıkma yönelimleri ve Manevî Zekâ özellikleri ile hayat memnuniyeti arasında negatif; depresyon, anksiyete ve stres belirtileri arasında pozitif yönde istatistiksel olarak anlamlı ilişki ve etkileşimlerin olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Aracılık analizlerinde; Türk yetişkinlerin Manevî Zekâ düzeylerinin, hem doğrudan hem de dinî başa çıkma yönelimleri aracılığıyla dolaylı olarak ruh sağlıklarını etkileyip etkilemediği incelenmiştir. Buna göre Manevî Zekâ özellikleri ile hayat memnuniyeti arasındaki pozitif yönlü ve depresyon, anksiyete ve stresle negatif yönlü etkileşimde; olumlu dinî başa çıkma yönelimlerinin aracılık etkisinin olduğu anlaşılmıştır. Benzer şekilde Manevî Zekâ özellikleri ile ruh sağlığı göstergeleri ilişkisinde, olumsuz dinî başa çıkma yönelimlerinin de aracılık rolünün olduğu belirlenmiştir. Manevî Zekâ özelliklerinin, dinî başa çıkma yönelimleri üzerinden ruh sağlığını destekleme ve sürdürmede etkili olduğu sonucuna varılmıştır.
In this study, the relationships among spiritual intelligence, religious coping and mental health were examined. The study group of the research which has a relational and causal screening design; consists of 726 people aged 18 and over, determined by the convenience sampling method and most of whom live in Istanbul. Research data were obtained by applying socio-demographic information form, Spiritual Intelligence Characteristics Scale, Positive and Negative Religious Coping Scales, Depression-Anxiety-Stress-21 Scale and Life Satisfaction Scale. The data was coded and analyzed by SPSS 25 and 26 programs. As a result of the research; positive relationships were determined between spiritual intelligence characteristics and positive religious coping orientations, life satisfaction. Also negative relationships were observed between spiritual intelligence characteristics and depression, anxiety, stress symptoms.On the other hand there were negative and significant relationships between negative religious coping orientations and spiritual intelligence characteristics, life satisfaction. In addition negative religious coping orientations turned out to have positive and significant relationships with depression, anxiety and stress symptoms. In mediation analyses whether Turkish adults' spiritual intelligence levels affect their mental health both directly and indirectly through religious coping orientations was examined. Accordingly it was found that positive religious coping orientations had a mediating effect on the positive interactions between spiritual intelligence characteristics and life satisfaction and on the negative interactions with depression, anxiety and stress symptoms. Similarly, it was determined that negative religious coping orientations had a mediating effect on interactions between spiritual intelligence characteristics and mental health indicators. It has been concluded that spiritual intelligence characteristics are effective in supporting and maintaining mental health through religious coping orientations.
